💗 A little gratitude post 💗

September hasn’t quite begun the way I expected it to, and sometimes life has a funny way of throwing us a few curve balls!

This isn’t a sympathy post, far from it. It’s actually a post to say thank you. 🥰

Over the last week or so, I’ve had to cancel quite a few sessions unexpectedly, and I just want to say how incredibly grateful I am to the families I work with for their kindness, patience and flexibility.

Running a small business means that sometimes the unexpected things in life can have a knock-on effect, and I know that changing or cancelling sessions can be inconvenient. The understanding and lovely messages I’ve received have genuinely meant so much to me. ❤️

I’m incredibly lucky to work with such wonderful families who show so much compassion and understanding when life doesn’t quite go to plan.

So, rather than dwelling on the curve balls, I’m choosing to focus on the kindness that has come with them.

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. 💐

A new school year can bring excitement, anticipation, and sometimes a few nerves — for children and parents! A smooth start isn’t about getting everything perfect. It’s about creating a sense of routine, reassurance and connection.

Here are a few simple ways to help your child feel ready:

✨ Re-establish routines before term starts
💬 Talk openly about how they’re feeling
🎒 Prepare school things together
❤️ Focus on the positives and what they’re looking forward to
🌙 Prioritise sleep, food and wellbeing
🤗 Keep those goodbye moments warm and reassuring
🌱 Expect a few wobbles — they’re completely normal
⭐ Celebrate their courage.

Remember, children don’t need us to take every worry away. They need to know we’re there, we believe in them, and they can come to us when things feel difficult.

Are you observing next week's solar eclipse from the UK or Ireland? These are the key timings you'll need to see the whole event.

The UK and Ireland won’t experience totality during the August 2026 solar eclipse, but rather a significant partial.

A maximum eclipse magnitude of 96.6% will be visible from the southwest coast of Ireland.

Here are the key timings:

18:13 BST – from the centre of the UK, the eclipse begins with the Sun 21° above the western horizon.

19:10 BST – Maximum eclipse occurs, the Sun dropping to 13° altitude by this time.

20:03 BST – Partial solar eclipse ends with the Sun just 4° above the west-northwest horizon as seen from the centre of the UK.
