In readiness for our first Foodbank 5k ish event tomorrow, Stockport Foodbank have advised they are down on toothpaste, size 6 nappies, shower gel and tinned fruit. Although anything you can bring is really appreciated.

The ballot for the 2027 London Marathon opens on Friday, with early plans suggesting the race could expand into a two-day event.

Organisers are considering a weekend format that would allow up to 100,000 runners to take part, although this has not yet been confirmed. If it does go ahead, it could improve your chances of getting a place – but with demand as high as ever, there are no guarantees.

Here’s how to enter.

Hi, the last Monday night sessions of 2025 tomorrow at Pownall Green School!
6.30-7.20 pm Tabata with weights £6
7.30-8.30 pm Yin Yoga by Candlelight £7 - yin yoga - stretches that are held for longer, 3-5 minutes. No need to bring anything, maybe an extra layer and fluffy socks!
