Butchers Arms vs Gate Inn 6:30pm kick off tonight at the Ruddle Centre, its our last game of the season and a win for the Gate Inn will petty much clinch the league title and a win for us will hopefully help us avoid relegation.

The weather is perfect so hopefully we’ll see you up there for the last time this season.

THV 1-1 Butchers Arms FC Braithwell

Unlucky to not take the 3 points tonight.

We were under the cosh from the off, as we started slow and Butchers looked to hit us on the break. We fell behind midway through the first 45, after Butchers took the lead from the spot. Their lead didn’t last long; a quick free kick from our own half found the head of Macca, who cushioned the ball into the bottom corner. HT 1-1.

Second half, we stepped it up and had plenty of chances, with the Butchers keeper making a good save from a Wardy header. Butchers had a few chances of their own, but we defended well, and limited any clear cut opportunities. We pushed on for a winner in the final 5, but couldn’t find a way through.

Credit to Butchers, a good footballing side, and came back to The Ball Inn for a drink, food, and a few goes on the footie card 🤝

Our first of two home games this week, as we face Butchers Arms FC Braithwell on Thursday Night.

Looking to build on a great performance and 3 points last time out, as we enter our final few games of the season. The lads are looking forward to a good competitive game of football, against a physical Butchers side.

The Butchers are finally back at home tomorrow morning 10:30am kick off vs Thorpe Hesley.

Tomorrow again will be a tough game against a team who sit a couple of places above ys in the league.
