BUSY WEEKEND AT THE CLUB ⚫️🟡🔴
An absoultley manic end to the week at the club saw many national and county level games take place here is a run down of the results
First up the Ladies Albert Crabb side took on Frinton in round 2 of the competition and came away with a victory across the 2 rinks 37-9, the team was:
Home rink - Danielle Gibbons, Lorraine Wilkinson, Alison Smart, Serena Madgewick
Away rink - Olive Hawkins, Katie Thompson, Evie Mills, Christina Allen
Carrying on with the Ladies next was the Ladies unbadged pairs which saw Olive Hawkins and Katie Thompson take on Sue Lancaster and Kathleen French from Colchester West End, a tight came which just fell the way of the braintree pair towards the end as they won 20-11, well done girls 👏
National mixed pairs was next, Braintree represented this time by Cadell Lench and Serena Madgewick as they took on Alix Rouse and his Partner from Saffron Walden, another close game with only a run of the last 4 ends being the differnce here, well done Cadell and Serena as they got home 21-14 and now move on to the area semi to face Paul Harrison and his partner from Chelmsford
And finally, Yesterday saw the National Double fours game between Briantree A and Silver End, a game that was the higest quailty from end 1 to end 18 with neither club backing down, however it would be Braintree that would hang on to get over the line by 4 shots to win 31-27, well done to both Braintree and Silver end Both clubs should be very proud of the way there players played in that game, team is as follows
