If you find that our bins are full during your visit, please take your rubbish home with you.

Litter doesn't just spoil the view. Plastic waste can harm wildlife, while discarded food can attract animals and encourage them to eat things that may be harmful to their health.

By taking a little extra care, we can all help protect the wildlife and natural spaces we love. 💚

A big thank you to our two work experience volunteers who have been helping to clean up Weald Country Park this week.
And of course our brilliant park staff!
Their hard work is making a real difference and helping to keep the park looking its best for everyone to enjoy. 👏🌿

☀️🌙 Are you ready for some sun-sational eclipse views?

Next Wednesday, 12 August, the moon will pass in front of the sun in a partial solar eclipse.

For some of the best viewing spots, head to Great Notley Country Park, where you'll find wide open spaces and high ground, perfect for watching this spectacular event.

🕕 The eclipse is expected to begin at around 6.15pm and reach its peak between 7.00pm and 7.15pm.

🚗 Our park closes at 9.00pm, so please help our Park Rangers by making sure you exit before this time.

⚠️ Remember: There is never a safe time to look directly at the sun without proper eye protection. If you're planning to watch the eclipse, make sure you use solar eclipse glasses that meet official international safety standards.
