We’re delighted to announce that ticket sales are now officially live for one of the biggest fixtures in our club’s history as Tekkers Veterans take on the England Veterans on Sunday 30th August, kicking off at 2:00pm at Harwich & Parkeston FC. This promises to be a fantastic afternoon of football, bringing together former stars and local favourites, all while raising money for Audrey in support of a truly special cause.

Our latest Quick Fire Questions feature introduces Justin Ward, who is set to make his Tekkers Community FC debut this Sunday.

Justin will be part of a truly historic occasion as Tekkers field the first-ever Over 55s charity football team in the country – another proud milestone for our club.

Having first come across Tekkers after bringing his Bocking Vets side to a charity fixture, Justin was immediately impressed by the club’s values, community spirit and commitment to raising money for good causes. When the opportunity came to join our Over 55s side, it was one he couldn’t turn down.

A lifelong Liverpool supporter, Justin names the legendary Kenny Dalglish as his footballing idol, and now he’s ready to write the first chapter of his own Tekkers story.

We’re delighted to welcome Justin to the club and can’t wait to see him pull on the green and gold for the very first time this Sunday.

As we build towards our historic Over 55s charity match, we’re delighted to share some words from our brand new over 55s Manager, Steve Crosdale.

Having faced our Over 45s side, Steve saw first-hand what Tekkers Community FC is all about – supporting local children, bringing communities together, and using football as a force for good.

His support, along with that of everyone at Bocking Vets FC, means a huge amount to us as we prepare for what will be the UK’s first ever Over 55s charity football team to take to the field.

This isn’t just about football. It’s about community, friendship, and raising vital funds for local children and charities. Whatever the score on the day, everyone involved will be playing for something much bigger.

A massive thank you to Steve and everyone at Bocking Vets FC and beyond for getting behind our vision.

This is a huge milestone for the club and a fantastic opportunity for our players to represent Tekkers Community FC in what promises to be a memorable occasion.

💚 OUR OPPONENTS 💚

Sunday 17th May 2026 our over 45s take to the field to play against Bocking Vets .
Here’s a little bit about their wonderful club 💚💚💚💚

After a number of years playing under different names in 2020 Bocking Vets was started and based in their spiritual home at Bocking! Starting with just a few over 45’s we went on a recruitment drive to grow and get a regular squad out. Recruitment went so well we started a Bocking 45’s reserve team in 2021/2 season and both sides held their own in respective divisions. As numbers grew, and players got older we started an over 55’s team in 2024/5 and kept adding to the 45’s squads as well. In the 2025/6 season the 45’s first team have won the league comfortably and are in the running for 2 cups as they are in the finals. As we now start to build for the 2026/7 season we are delighted to be adding in an extra over 55’s side so we will have 4 sides playing competitively in the Essex Veterans League. We’ve always been a social team and believe in providing hospitality in the right way as well as playing the game in the right way. We have recently spread the Bocking name internationally (Spain) by entering a tournament and will continue to do so in the future. We are a very community minded club who will happily play pre-season games to raise money for good causes and be able to give back to the community around us.

As a club we are pleased to be able to provide the opportunity for those aged over 45 to carry on playing the game they love for many more years to come.
