**Back to Tennis Session**
Looks like there is about to be a downpour but satellite says it should be clear after that so we are going to head down to the courts and chance it!

**Improvers/Back to Tennis Group** First session tomorrow if weather is going to be kind to us!

**Beginner & Back-to-Tennis Sessions – Would You Be Interested?**

We’re exploring the idea of running some relaxed, friendly tennis sessions for adults who are either:
• completely new to tennis and would like to give it a go, or,
• have played a little in the past but haven’t picked up a racket in years and would like to get back into it.

These sessions would be aimed at helping people build confidence, learn (or re-learn) the basics, and improve skills in a fun and supportive environment.
No pressure, no need to be “good enough” – just a chance to get on court, meet others, and enjoy learning at a comfortable pace.

Sessions would likely include:
• basic strokes and technique
• simple drills and games
• building confidence on court
• understanding scoring and matchplay
• a friendly, relaxed atmosphere

Whether you’re starting from scratch or returning after a long break, these sessions would be designed to help you feel comfortable and enjoy the game.

If this sounds like something you’d be interested in, please comment below.

At this stage we’re simply gauging interest before putting anything in place.

Top tips for playing doubles, note for your next game!
The easiest way to win points in doubles is when playing at the net.

Having said that, the following is a list of winning tips you should remember when playing at the net, in doubles:

1) aim your volleys or overheads to the nearest opponent’s… feet;

2) the closer you are to the net, the better angles for putting the ball away;

3) if both opponents are at the net, or baseline, direct your shots between them;

4) if possible, make contact with the ball above the net level (be aggressive), and if you have to hit a volley from below the net level, aim it away from the nearest opposing player.
