We are updating the website server, so the website will be down for 1-2 days. If you do find it down, come back in a couple of days, and it should be back up and running.

If you need to enter you can access the link directly via the Fabian4 website https://www.fabian4.co.uk/default.aspx?EventID=4128

Just remember that you do need to look at our normal site before the race to catch up on all the updates. It is the 'Winter' Half and the event will need to respond to the conditions on the day. So please look at the site before you set off to Bradwell to make sure the event is on and you have all the safety kit needed.

Don’t underestimate the course. It may be the little brother of the other village races, but it holds nothing back. The route is also great for spectators, who can see much of the race from the sports pavilion. The new route is also suitable for juniors from U15 upwards

Entries have opened for the Bradwell Fell Race.

Entries have closed, and we are full so there will be no entries on the day.

The start list is now on our normal website https://tourofbradwell.co.uk/winter-half/

The weather forecast is cold, and there may be some light snow/sleet/rain early on. However, the weather improves as the day goes on, so the current plan is that you will only need to carry the full standard kit. However, do bring the listed extra kit with you just in case.

See you tomorrow

At the remote checkpoints, we are testing out a new type of control, so there will be two boxes, and you need to dib at both i.e. Checkpoint 1 will have CP 1A and CP 1B.

Two weeks today we'll be hoping for weather at least as good as this, with bright sunshine and great views! Looking forward to seeing you then...

We've had it all over the last few years, drizzle and low cloud, high winds and bright sunshine, heavy rain, and with the weather being as changeable as it is, you'll need to come prepared for anything on the 8th. Start to get together the kit you'll need (listed here: https://tourofbradwell.co.uk/winter-half/ ), and make sure you bring it all.

Remember - No Kit, No Run.

This morning when I took this photo high up and to the west of Bradwell, it looks lovely but there'd been overnight rain which had frozen and the windchill factor meant it felt like -5C!

The last two days have been absolutely perfect running conditions in the Hope Valley - mild temperatures, no wind or rain and perfect visibility on the tops allowing some amazing views. Looking forward to similar conditions on race day, 8th February 2025, if we're really lucky!
Often used as a warm-up race for the Edale Skyline in March, the Winter Half Tour covers very similar terrain, with lots of path/track running, three big climbs and some amazing views on the tops.
Looking forward to seeing you all in a few weeks...
