Frank's Farm Parkrun

We finally got some of the team back together and visited Frank's Farm which is situated perfectly on our doorstep.

Today's course consisted of Hills, Mud, Mud and a bit more Mud thanks to the recent weather. The sun miraculously managed to make an appearance though and it helped us appreciate some spectacular views of Farmer Frank's fields.

Will we do another parkrun next week 🤔

This morning, 4 of us went over to Milton to help Parkrun attempt to hit its record for the largest ever number of 'walkers'.
It's the first time any of us have attempted to walk the 3.1miles and it felt like a mini challenge in itself. As is often the case though, whether running or walking - Parkrun feels like a small accomplishment to get the weekend started.

Soham Village College parkrun
Saturday 8th Feb

It's been a while since we last posted anything on Facebook but we'd like to let people know that yes, we are still running/jogging/talking and walking.

Today was Soham's 200th birthday, so what better time for our Facebook presence to rise from the Ashes than now.

It was a gloriously miserable day as the Taylors and Mayes families made their way over to Soham. Thankfully the drizzle (not a Rapper) held off during the actual event but this did make conditions slightly unpredictable and lots of slipping and sliding was witnessed across the back field. Personally speaking, I managed to roll my ankle which didn't hurt at the time. This morning however, it's a little bit sore so 'training' for the Cambridge Half might have to go on pause this week 🫤.

Milton Country parkrun

This morning we took the short trip to Milton to celebrate parkrun’s 20th birthday!

Some great running from the Woozbys which included a course PB for Simon!

Wimpole Parkrun
Saturday 28th September

This morning saw Liam and the Taylors heading over to Wimpole for their parkrun. Due to circumstance (weather) the decision was made to run on the winter course a few weeks earlier than planned.

This was the first (and most likely last) time that Kevin has run the Winter out and back and is now aching but pleased to have completed his Crohn's & Ulcerative Colitis 60 mile challenge. Thanks to everyone that donated.

This was also the first time that Liam has run Wimpole and managed a cheeky Newbies PB. Sorry Liam. Next time we'll make it official IF you beat that time! 😉

As usual Jess put in a strong run and continued in her role as Chief Windup Merchant by finishing just ahead of her Dad.
