Great Horton Junior Sports Club A local organisation set up to encourage a wide range of activities for young kids. Multi-Sports, Homework Club, Girls club, Cricket club and many more.

This is a local run organisation in the city of Bradford. It was created in the year 2013 and is gradually improving and becoming well known. The main focus of the organisation is to encourage younger kids to participate in various activities. The main objective is to take kids off the streets and keep them activated in sports and other related activities. The organisation currently run a sports c

lub every Sunday afternoon 12:30pm to 5:00 for a small fee. Kids aged between 6-16yr olds are encouraged to participate, we run the sports club at Khidmat Centre (located in BD7). The club runs various multi sports activites throughout the afternoon. Qualified coaches are there to coach and encourage kids to go beyond expectations. Our aim is to reduce the anti social behaviour/ other related crimes on the streets, keep kids healthy/ fit and give them a platform to go and achieve they goals. Through this organisation we run cricket through a local team and take kids into higher levels of cricket and other sports. We currently have been running a cricket team for two years and in both years we have been very successful. Two years, Two championships, Two teams, Two different leagues. ONE Session ONLY:

Time: 2:45pm till 5pm
Age: Open to ALL

The hall is big enough for us to accommodate different age groups at the same time.

We will be reverting back to the old timings once the numbers of participants increases. This is due to the financial costs involved in booking separate sessions.

Good News:

The Sunday Sports Club will restart this coming Sunday (01/09/24).

As most of you are aware, 5 months ago my father sadly passed away. He was a very important member of my sports club.
Alongside being part of the management he was also my head coach. He was my father, my teacher, my best friend, basically my everything.

Losing my father has taken alot out of me. So many people have been wondering when I would restart. After 5 months I have finally had the courage to start again.

My father put alot of effort into my sports club and helped hundreds of children. I want to continue his legacy. However this will be a soft restart. I will trial it for a few weeks and see how it goes.

It will continue on Sundays at Dixons Kings Academy.
Our slot booking is 3pm till 5pm.
Children are expected to arrive by 2:45pm latest.

For the first few weeks we will try to keep it one session only open to all children. Once the numbers increase I will then split the sessions up again.

Please acknowledge receipt of this text message by replying. Also confirm if your child will be attending or not.

I will send a reminder message nearer to Sunday, which will list more details of prices, timings etc.

Breaking News:

Sunday Sports Club (7th April 2013-7th April 2024)

Unfortunately after 11 long and successful years, I am having to put a temporary stop on my sports club until further notice.

Unfortunately my father is in critical condition in ICU at this current time. Therefore I am unable to run any sessions from immediate effect.

My father was the back bone of my club and my hero, my best friend, my role model. Please keep him in your duas.

If possible, please share this message around with those who may not get it.
And please try not to ring me during this difficult period. Text messages are fine.

Trophies and many awards to be won.

An opportunity not to be missed. Not always will we have the chance to play in actual football courts and experience a different football feel.
We have a Tournament this week. There won't be another Tournament for a while, so important your child attends.

Important: if your child doesn't have no transport whatsoever. Contact me so I can try to arrange something. £2 per child for transport, meet next to Bottom of Waverley Terrace BD7 3HZ, you must tell me first if the child needs transport tho.

Those requiring transport must arrive at the bottom of Waverley Terrace by 3pm latest. I will be booking transport to take children there and back. We will arrive back for 6:30pm.

Please drop children off if you can. I've paid in advance for the courts. Your support is appreciated.

Both sessions will run together but on separate football courts with separate tournaments.

Good News:

For the next two Sundays we will be using Frame Two football pitches.

We have decided to change from Dixon Allerton and instead book Frame Two football courts to give children a better football feel.

The timing will however be slightly different. Please take note of the timing on the Saturday message.

I would appreciate all children attending as it takes effort and payments in advance to secure such facilities. If your child is unable to attend let me know.

We once again are willing to provide transport to those who most need it. However, there is a small charge to transport to the place and back. Please make sure your child pays this.

The opportunity of playing at Frame Two doesn't come about often. So if your child misses these sessions, then it is they own loss.

Alhamdullilah all the Palestine money was donated safely and in the most appropriate way. Please message for more of a breakdown.
