As 2020 draws to a close, I think it’s safe to say it been challenging in lots of ways for all of us!
Cyclocross racing too has been challenging, cancellation of lots of the National Trophy Series and planned development trips to Belgium proving to be impossible, has all made for a very different season this year!
But despite it all we have had so many positives! Fantastic efforts from local race organisers have given us some great races and we would like to thank them and their teams of volunteers for their continuing hard work!
But best of all has been the great efforts made by our riders! We have had brilliant performances in all categories! Well done to everyone who has raced with a smile on their faces because, above all else, this club is about our riders enjoying their cycling and racing!
As we head towards 2021, would like to wish everyone a very healthy and happy New Year! 🎉

Here are the results from our club members that travelled to the Ashburn Wealth Cyclocross last Sunday!
As always, great results from all our riders, but standout performances from Dexter Leeming-Sykes and Dan Hepton who both achieved podium positions this week with 1st and 3rd Junior respectively! 💪🏼👏

It was another great weekend of cyclocross racing for our club members last weekend, with riders choosing Round 2 of the ‘No Nonsense’ Yorkshire cross and the North East round at Foxberry.
As always, a huge thank you goes to both organisers and their teams for putting on such fantastic events under very difficult circumstances!

We would like to also give a huge warm welcome to another new rider to the club this week, Florence Greenhalgh! We are very proud to have you wearing our colours Florence and wish you every success with your season!

Cross is back! 🎉

A big ‘well done’ to all club riders who competed in last Sunday’s first Yorkshire ‘No Nonsense’ cyclocross event!
Thank you to the team of organisers, who worked so hard to show that Yorkshire can lead the way in putting on events in these difficult times!

We would like to extend a very warm welcome to two riders making their debut for the club last week, Callum Feather, riding in the Under 16 boys category, and Mo Leeming-Sykes bringing some much needed girl power to our ranks! It was fantastic to see you racing in our famous red, white and black kit - good luck to you both for the coming season!

With no Yorkshire race last weekend, three of our riders made the trip to Scunthorpe on Sunday to ride round 8 of the Lincolnshire champs.
Despite being gridded at the back of the field, and also setting off 30 seconds behind the senior riders, Dexter Leeming-Sykes and Daniel Hepton both put in fantastic performances making great progress through the whole field to finish 1st and 2nd Junior respectively and well up in the race overall!
Well done too to Thomas Hepton, taking a great 9th place in the U14s
