Dream Art Bradford Brazilian Jiu Jitsu We are a full-time Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Club that offer a wide range of classes for all ages and ability’s Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a grappling art.

Its main principle is taking your opponent to the ground, controlling them and then submitting them with a choke hold or joint lock. It’s a martial art that suited for everyone, regardless of your age, sex, size etc. There are so many benefits to practicing BJJ, some of which are; self defence, flexibility, strength, weight lose, fitness. It teaches you how to problem-solve and over come difficult situations, it teaches you how to stay calm, it gives you confidence, it can improve your balance and co-ordination. Its also great for discipline...the list is endless! The first class is FREE for everyone so come along and see for your self :) We now also run a Beginners Adult class for those who have never tried it before :)

🥋 FREE WOMEN’S BJJ TASTER SESSION 🥋
Saturday 19th September | 11am–12pm

Ever wondered what Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is actually like, but never felt brave enough to give it a go?

This is for you. ❤️

We’re putting on a free, relaxed women-only session for anyone who wants to come along, have a go and see what BJJ is all about.

Absolutely no experience needed.
No kit needed.
No pressure.
No expectations.

The taster session is just one hour — 11am–12pm. Come along, give it a try, have some fun and see what you think. ❤️

If you’re having fun and fancy staying a little longer, the mats will stay open afterwards for anyone who wants to get some extra practice rolls in. There’s no cut-off — stay for five minutes, stay for another half hour, or just do the taster and go. Completely up to you.

🍕 We’ll also be getting a takeaway afterwards for anyone who fancies hanging around and eating with us. No pressure at all to stay — if you’ve got somewhere to be, just head off. If you fancy hanging out, eating and having a chat, you’re more than welcome.

Massively proud of the team from Saturday.

We had 14 competitors out at the Empire South Yorkshire Open, with a number of them doing both Gi and No-Gi.

Between them they came away with:

🥇 9 Gold
🥈 6 Silver
🥉 2 Bronze
🔥 25 match wins

And as a team:

🏆 3rd Overall
🏆 3rd Kids
🏆 3rd Gi
🏆 3rd No-Gi

Obviously the medals are brilliant, but for me competition is about much more than that. It’s putting yourself in difficult situations, dealing with pressure, dealing with wins, dealing with losses and learning from all of it.

Every time you compete you come back with something to work on.

Massively proud of everyone who represented Dream Art Bradford yesterday, and a big thank you to the coaches for looking after the team.

Back to work.

One of the biggest lessons we try to teach our young people has nothing to do with winning a medal.

It’s extreme ownership.

If something goes wrong, don’t immediately look for someone else to blame.

Ask yourself:

What could I have done better?
What can I learn from it?
What am I going to do differently next time?

That mindset matters on the mats, but it matters even more outside the gym.

Taking responsibility gives you something powerful — the ability to change the outcome next time.

That’s what we’re trying to build at Dream Art Bradford.

Better competitors. Better decision-makers. Stronger young people.
