Alisa's Ballet Fitness Alisa's Ballet Fitness offers ballet exercise for adults with stretching and toning, getting into shape, improving flexibility, strength and ballance.

Alisa's ballet fitness class consists of two parts; work done by the barre and on the floor. The first part of the class concentrates on basic ballet elements that elongate the muscles, helps to develop concentration, coordination and balance. Floor workout is a set of movements combined with stretches performed lying or sitting on the floor. It's an ideal way to strength, length and tone all grou

ps of muscles , whilst increasing flexibility of the entire body. This form of exercise is particularly beneficial for those who want to concentrate on toning tummy, bottoms and thighs known as "problem" areas.

The class is designed to gently work every muscle and every system in your body. A full service. Theoretically, when all of your systems are happy, you lead a healthier life.

Weight loss is not the main focus but can be an added side effect for those who feel they have weight to lose.

The sequence itself gradually builds strength and flexibility. Transformations can be quite staggering with a regular practice.

As a student, you focus on your practice while listening to the words of your teacher. Your brain has less time to think about anything else which allows you to slip into a some kind of meditation. Focusing your mind on your body in this way can relieve feelings of anxiety and help to ease depression.

A Ballet Fitness practice can be real personal journey for the individual, which is known to be the main reason students return. The sequence hardly changes but the experience you have as a student is always different.
