🏌️‍♂️ Greens Maintenance Week is well underway at the Moor! ⛳

Our greenkeeping team are putting in the hard yards this week to set our greens up for the months ahead 💪

Here's what's been going on:

🔧 Solid tining – relieving compaction & getting air and water down to the roots

✂️ Scarification – clearing out thatch so nutrients can get where they're needed

🌱 Overseeding – with a tough, hard-wearing rye grass for extra strength and quicker recovery

🌾 Granular feeding – fuelling healthy new growth

🏖️ Top dressing – smoothing the surface and protecting all that new seed

Yes, the greens might look and play a little different for a short while ⏳ — but this is exactly the work that keeps them healthy, firm and rolling true all year round! 🙌

Thanks for bearing with us — trust us, it'll be worth it! 💚⛳

🏆 J.E. GENT SCRATCH CUP 2026 – CHAMPION CROWNED! 🏆

Huge congratulations to Lee Yaxley, our new J.E. Gent Scratch Cup champion for 2026! ⛳

Lee sat 4 shots off the lead after an opening round of 77, but produced a brilliant 74 today to storm through the field and take the title with a two-round total of 151 – winning by 2 shots. What a way to finish! 👏

🥈 2nd: Danny Devaney – 153 (also carding a 74 today)
🥉 3rd: Iain Walker – 154

We’re looking for a friendly, confident individual to join the team here at Bradford Moor Golf Club! ⛳🏌️

We have a fantastic opportunity for someone to join our bar team on a casual basis, working flexible shifts as and when needed. You’ll be serving our brilliant members and guests in a welcoming, sociable environment — no two days are the same!

Whether you’re pouring pints after a round of golf, helping set up for one of our many events, or simply making sure our members feel at home — you’ll play a big part in what makes Bradford Moor such a great place to be. 🏆

We’re looking to fill this position ASAP, so if you’re available at short notice, we’d love to hear from you!

What we’re looking for:

✅ Aged 18 or over

✅ Flexible with shift patterns (including evenings & weekends)

✅ Confident & outgoing

✅ Happy to work alone or as part of a team

✅ Some bar experience required

In return, you’ll be joining a friendly, tight-knit team at one of Bradford’s most established and well-loved golf clubs, with a great atmosphere and a membership that genuinely appreciates the people who look after them. 🤝
