A page for members and associates of Bradford Bandits BMX Racing Club to stay up to date with the club and its activities. Bradford Bandits BMX Racing Club was established in the early 80's in West Yorkshire. We are fully accredited to British Cycling and based at the BMX track at Peel Park. Our mission is to promote cycling for all ages, concentrating on the Olympic sport of BMX Racing. Whilst many of our senior members travel all around the world to race BMX, we regularly hold local races for both new and experienced riders. We also actively get involved with other cycling projects around Bradford and surrounding areas, and regularly hold practice sessions, race meetings and club rides. The redeveloped track at Peel Park is open to the public at all times apart from during club activities. Please ensure you are wearing a full face helmet whenever you ride. We also advise you to wear long trousers, long-sleeved tops and gloves. We are entirely self-funded and grant-maintained. Donations from local businesses are always welcome. In return, we can offer advertising space both on the Peel Park site, as well as on various websites and social media profiles. Membership and Charges
Membership runs from January to December. We also offer training and guidance to volunteers. All BC membership fees, racing licence fees and race fees are the responsibility of the member.

British Championships Day 1 update. The Bandits had a truly remarkable day at the British Champs. From 22 entries, 21 riders qualified for the knockout stages, we had 12 semifinalists, 10 top-ten finishes, 8 A-finalists, and 2 second place finishes. Many of the younger riders were genuine novices, and fairly new to the sport. As well the genuine speed and skill on show, there was also warrior spirit with one of our cruiser riders racing with an injury but still making semifinals, and one of our novices crashing but being cleared by the medics just in time to get on the gate for his 1/8 final.
This could be the most consistent set of results we’ve had as a club, and are a testament to the hard work put in by EVERYONE involved in the club over the last few years - track, infrastructure, structured coaching program, welfare, funding, volunteers, family, friends and links with other clubs and cycling organisations.
Best of luck to Evie, Martin, Nigel, Oliver, Owen and Yusuf who are all racing 20” today!

This week’s race report shout out has to go to our incredible team of volunteers at Bradford Bandits BMX Club 💚💚💚
We usually focus on rider achievements because they are all amazing, but for our relatively small club in West Yorkshire, this was one of the biggest and most successful Regional events we’ve ever hosted.
Behind the scenes, countless hours have been spent fundraising, coordinating, organising, and putting the finishing touches to our brand new start gate just in time for Sunday’s racing. The dedication and hard work from our volunteers made the whole event possible.
After weeks of planning for the inevitable Yorkshire rain, we suddenly found ourselves making a last minute dash to the supermarket’s freezer aisle to stock up on cold drinks and ice lollies instead! We’ve now discovered that BMX riders are capable of consuming record breaking numbers of ice lollies and still coming back for more!
A huge thank you to everyone who attended, supported the event, shared the laughs, cooled us down with water gun crossfire, and helped keep spirits high throughout the day. We may have all finished a little sunburnt, but our hearts were certainly full.
Well done, Team Bradford Bandits. You should all be incredibly proud of what you’ve achieved. 💚💚💚💚💚💚💚
