Today we took on Leeds Gunners who sat near the bottom of the league with our four game unbeaten run at stake.
The Gunners form wasn't as bad as suggested and they have narrowly lost the last couple in with a draw, management told the lads before the game it would not be an easy game and to start the game as we meant to go on.

Kick off and steady start but we looked rusty and like all we had to do was turn up to get the 3 points , very scrappy 1st 20 minutes where we created very little but neither did the opposition and the lads were very off the pace , expecting someone else to do there work for them , chance for the Gunners well saved by Rob in net , down the other end throw in from the left and push in the back on Jack penalty given.
After last week's miss we gave Jack the responsibility from the spot , poor penalty though and didn't work the keeper , scuffed to the keepers right and wide of the post , still 0-0 when we should be Infront.
Game changing and we're on the front foot now but still not playing like we can from recent form , couple more half chances for us but nothing clear cut with Kav creating problems for there defenders when he knocked it down the line and went past the defenders , then there we go 1-0 to the rattlers , scruffy goal though , shot from Ty from edge of box and scuffed towards back post where Jimbo was there to knock it in from 5 yards out , looked slightly offside but goal given.
Rattlers still comfortable in the game and the Gunners not causing too many problems, close to half time and 2-0 sloppy from the Gunners and chance for us but turned into their own net by the Gunners defender.
Half time 2-0

Management still not happy at half time and told the lads we needed to work for each other and to raise their game.

2nd half 15 mins in and still knocking the ball about but with no issues to our defence who remained calm all game and nullified the opposition strikers
Double change Kian and Jay on to try and change the game in midfield and positive impact made , much more being created now and finally 3-0 and Kian on the score sheet game over , 3 more changes made and comfortable last 20 minutes to see out the game and keep a clean sheet , another 3 points and a comfortable win under no real pressure all game but need to start games faster but onwards and up the league we march

Queensbury 1-2 Rattlers

Going into the game against Queensbury, who sat second in the league, we knew it would be a tough test but one that the lads were up for after weeks without a hame.

We had the better of the opening exchanges, forcing the Queensbury keeper into a few good saves as Kav and Mudz caused problems up front but we were unable to make our pressure count. Queensbury began to get a foothold in the game and created their own chances, a one on one well saved and numerous shots from outside the box going well wide but we were always a threat on the break and found a breakthrough 30 minutes in. Whip intercepted a pass and carried the ball forward before releasing Mudz with a pinpoint pass, who made no mistake in putting the ball past the keeper to put us in the lead. Unfortunately the lead didn’t last long as Queensbury found a response within minutes, their striker reacting quickest to a loose ball to prod home. 1-1 at half time.

A slight change in personnel in the second half saw us have better control of the game and get on the front foot. Some good link up play saw Jimbo flick through to Kav who saw an effort well saved by the keeper. Once again, Queensbury grew into the game and earned a free kick on the edge of the box that was deflected into the path of their striker who somehow missed an open net from 6 yards out. They continued to press and thought they’d taken the lead when a shot from 3 yards out was somehow saved on the line. This gave Rattlers a boost and we quickly went down the other end and retook the lead, Jack playing Mudz through who slotted last the keeper with a composed finish. The final 10 minutes were seen out without much danger and despite not being at our best we got the win and took home the 3 points! A determined and committed performance that we will look to build on next week!

This Sunday saw us take on Greengates F.C ( the social media trolls) and try to continue to build on the last 2 games and carry on the positive momentum and help the new lads bed in and all get to know how each other play and climb the league with games in hand on everyone above us.
We started well with a new formation and the lads settled in and started creating chances and 20 minutes in we could have been 2 or 3 goals Infront with a few chances and not much for our defence to worry about , then out of the blue Greengates knocked a long ball over the top and from what looked like an offside position there attacker hit it early leaving Rob flat footed in net 1-0 Greengates against the run of play.
The lads got back into the game with good movement and passing and kept control , opportunity for G from just inside the box , good strike well taken finish top left corner before the keeper could react 1-1 .
Momentum was fully with us without Greengates causing us any problems and we had a few more chance to get Infront and make our control of the game count.
Half time 1-1
Slight change at half time but kept formation, started again in the ascendancy co trol the game and creating chances , then from a poor kick out that hit their striker on the back of the head and fell at his feet 2-1 Greengates.
3-1 Greengates caught on the counter attack and ball ran across the box and the old guy has an easy tap in from 10 yards out , aucker punch and not deserved.
Lads kept working and didn't let their heads go and kept pushing forward , 3-2 , G again left foot this time from inside box Game on!
Corner to Greengates all organised and marked up the bam 4-2 straight from corner wind assisted.
Substitution and formation changes to try get us back into the game
Still plenty of time left then bang 4-3 Great work from lads and strike from Kian game back on still pushing forward creating chances it's there 4-4 G hatrick completed , left foot again above keeper before he could react.
Still time for a winner with the game being played in attacking half of pitch and us creating chances.
It's there 5-4 Kav gets down the wing beating his man and crossing for G to beat the keeper and defender to the ballot put it away from 4 yards out .
Game under control now with a few minutes left Kav gets down the line inside the box defender takes him out and the ref points to the spot , G steps up with about 20 steps before the spot kick and scuffs it straight at the keeper .
Seconds remaining and there it is the final whistle 5-4 win for the Rattlers and full deserved for the effort and work rate.Christmas break and we go again after 🎄 🎁

Sunday saw rattlers play south field AFC in the cup they are in the league above from us and are in fine form we always knew is was going to be a tough test what wasn't helped by the fact it was one of our players 21st birthday on the Saturday so let's just say most of the team was rougher then a holme wood hair cut, the game finished 5-1 to south field but it was fair to say we did have our chances but we didn't take them we move on to next week where we are back in action in the league
