Cardio? Done. Sausage rolls? Earned.
Some of the Sharks swapped paddles for trainers and headed to ParkRun to get the heart rate up and the lungs working.
Out-of-boat cardio is an important part of training - building endurance, improving our ability to keep pushing when the lactate starts to bite, and getting comfortable with that lovely feeling of wondering why you volunteered for this. 😂
And ParkRun is perfect for it. Free, friendly, competitive enough to get those Shark juices flowing… and with coffee and sausage rolls waiting at the finish, there’s a pretty good incentive to keep moving.
Running isn’t the only way to get the cardio in either. Cycling, swimming, rowing, circuits, hills - whatever gets your heart pumping and gives you an excuse to chase down the person in front of you!
Train hard. Recover harder.
