We are a friendly local archery club in Bradford-On-Avon. We shoot a mixture of recurve and longbows with a few compound archers as well.

Kingston Archers is an archery club based in Bradford-on-Avon, Wiltshire. It consists of 31 senior and 8 junior members, the members come from all walks of life and range from 11 to 70+ years of age. The present club members shoot a mixture of recurve bows and traditional Longbows, people who shoot with Compound bows are also welcome. Unfortunately Kingston Archers have no facilities for people interested in Field Archery and no crossbows are permitted. CLUB HISTORY
The club was founded in 1968 by a group of local people who worked for the Avon Rubber Company. The founders of the club decided to use the name "Kingston Archers" because of strong historical connections with the town. The company was a major employer in the area at that time, and provided a sports ground for employees to use during their spare time. The ground was large enough to be used as an archery field and it also had space for a building to store equipment when it was not in use. The surrounding area was heavily involved in the woolen industry, with several woolen mills having been built within the town. In later years these former mill buildings were used by the Avon Rubber Company for their operations. One of the buildings was known as "Kingston Mill" and it was from there that the club got its name. Avon rubber has now moved out of the town and the ground has been taken over by the National Playing Fields Association. Kingston Archers, although becoming independent from Avon Rubber continued to use the site until July 2019 when we eventually moved to grounds adjoining Bradford on Avon rugby club in Winsley.

Kingston Archers first World Record Status competition took place this weekend and was in our opinion a huge success. We loved hosting all the talented archers that attended and hope you enjoyed the day. It was a scorcher and an overall lovely day. Hope to see you all again in the near future for further competitions we intend to host. We will keep you posted. Many thanks from all at Kingston Archers 🏹😁

Nice to see everyone giving it a go at the Kingston Archers novice shoot. Another great event where everyone had fun, learnt something new and left eager to join others comps in the future.

Evening all, hope you are well. Just a quick note to let you know that Kingston Archers (based in Bradford on Avon, Wiltshire) still has spaces left at our two comps.

The first held on the 12th July is a Novice comp. Any new archers or archers new to competition are welcome.

The second is a WRS double 720, county associated. So if you are looking to boost your national rank or obtain one for the first time this would be a good competition to attend. It’s being held on the 9th August.

Both comps are being sponsored by Indigo Archery who will be present with a pop up shop full of archery goodies for you to buy.

Despite some wind and rain (heavy on occasion) several club members were out representing at Bath Archers Albion competition. As you can see the weather did not dampen our spirits, we had fun and even managed to bring home some medals.

🚨🚨Competitions now open to enter🚨🚨

Kingston Archers are happy to announce that both our open competitions are now open to entries.

1- In August our first ever WRS Double 720 is being held. This is one is not to be missed. Open to all archers, this competition will count towards improving your national ranking and will hopefully be the first of many to come at Kingston Archers.

2- A month earlier in July, following its success last year, we look to hold our second Kingston Archers Novice shoot. Please encourage new members of your clubs to take part. We will do our best to make them feel welcomed, introduce them to the world of archery competition and generally show a fantastic day.

Both events are being sponsored by Indigo Archery who will be present with a pop up shop and available to answer any equipment related questions.
