⚽ U8s Match Report ⚽

What a fantastic game had today against Chippenham Town! 👏

The whole team were absolutely brilliant, and every single one of them should be so proud of themselves. 💪

We made a couple of mistakes along the way, but what was really impressive was how everyone bounced straight back from them and kept going. We were on top for a couple of quarters and played some really good football. 🔥

Most importantly, we listened really well today and took on board what we’ve been working on in training. You could really see the improvement out on the pitch.

And a massive well done to everyone who went in goal today — you all did an amazing job! 🧤👏

A special mention goes to Eddie, who was named Player of the Match after scoring a fantastic hat-trick! ⚽⚽⚽👏

Another fantastic effort from this young group, and honestly we couldn’t be prouder of every one of them. ❤️⚽

Keep working hard, keep listening and keep enjoying your football! 👏

Well done to all the players today. Everyone made a contribution today, and it was fantastic to see the team starting to gel.Still have so much to work on, which is such a positive when they can turn out a result like that!

A special mention to MOTM Teddy 🏆 for an outstanding defensive performance — and topping it off with a goal! ⚽️

⚽️💙 FANTASTIC EFFORT FROM THE UNDER 9 DRAGONS TODAY! 💙⚽️

What a fantastic effort from the team today and a massive improvement from everyone! 👏🏻

The team are growing in confidence, and we just need to keep encouraging them to be brave on the ball, make those passes and take their chances in front of goal.

Looking at the quarters, we drew in two of them, so the team should be incredibly proud of their performance from start to finish. We also created some great chances, which was amazing to see! 💪🏻

🧤 MAN OF THE MATCH: HENRY! 🧤

Henry, what a performance you put in today! Some fantastic saves, and that penalty save was an absolute delight to watch! 👏🏻

Everyone played so well and gave 100%, but Henry gets my Man of the Match today. His confidence in goal is getting stronger and stronger each week, and it’s fantastic to see his progress!

⚽️💙 WHAT A PERFORMANCE FROM THE UNDER 11 KNIGHTS! 💙⚽️

A fantastic effort from the team today! 👏🏻

The opposition have been together for 4 years, and their coach couldn’t believe we’ve only been together for a matter of months, with some of our team joining us just weeks ago!

Although the result didn’t go our way, the team started slowly but grew in confidence as the game went on. By the final whistle, they were all buzzing with their performance, almost as if they’d won — and that’s the main thing for me! 💙

The opposition showed some great finishing, which was probably the main difference today. But our team created plenty of chances, looked much more threatening going forward and worked incredibly hard for each other.

I genuinely couldn’t have asked for more from them today. Everyone put in a shift, showed a fantastic attitude and gave it their all! 💪🏻

There were so many contenders for Player of the Match, especially our midfielders Ethan, Harrison and Reggie, who were full of energy and up and down the pitch all game! 🔥

🏆 PLAYER OF THE MATCH: GEORGE B! 🏆

Not just for his 4 goals, but for his incredible work rate, constant effort and tracking back to help his midfield and defence throughout the game. What a performance! 👏🏻⚽️

Well done, boys. You should all be so proud of yourselves! 💙

⚽ Match Report Under 8s⚽

A tough game for the team and even though the result that didn’t go our way, there was plenty to be proud of.

Every single child worked incredibly hard from the first whistle to the last. We looked really good in parts today, with some great moments of football showing exactly what this young group is capable of.

What matters most at this age is that the players keep learning, keep enjoying their football and keep giving everything they have — and today they certainly did that.

Once again, I couldn’t be prouder of this young group of kids. ❤️⚽

The results will come. For now, we keep working, keep learning and keep improving together.

Huge thank you to Trowbridge Wanderers and good luck for the season.

This evening our Westwood Under 8s are back in action as we welcome Trowbridge Wanderers Under 8s for a friendly! 🙌⚽️

We’re looking forward to a great evening of football, plenty of effort, teamwork and, most importantly, smiles! 💙
