What a day! 🙌
This competition wasn’t originally a big focus for us this season. As we’re not qualifying for Worlds this year, we decided to take the teams along anyway as it was a great local event and another opportunity to get out on the floor and perform.
With only a week to prepare, we had to create two brand new team routines from scratch and make changes across lots of our routines. It definitely felt like this competition crept up on us, and there were moments where everything felt a little rushed!
What made yesterday so special was seeing our dancers rise to the challenge. Despite missing a number of our older dancers and not having full teams, every single dancer went out there, gave it their all and represented Dancexite brilliantly.
The results across the day were fantastic, but what I’m most proud of is the attitude, resilience and talent that was on display. No matter the amount of preparation time, these dancers always find a way to step up when it counts.
It was especially exciting to see so many of our younger dancers taking their opportunities and showing just how much talent is coming through the school. The future of Dancexite is looking very bright ❤️
A huge thank you to all of our dancers, families and supporters. Sometimes the competitions you go into with the fewest expectations end up being the ones that remind you just how much your dancers are capable of.
On to the next one! 🔥
