Today Doug Rao has returned to Bodyzone Gym. An old friend of mine. You may remember him from the series 'The Bill'. Also appearing in 'Memory' with Liam Neeson & Guy Pearce on Amazon and 'Zero Chill' series on Netflix.
He said "I enjoyed being back training at Bodyzone Gym again ! 💪🏼🙏🏼"

Today we had our long running member Mel Wilkins Ceman pop in for a weight session at Bodyzone gym with Sid!

Mel is a proud & privileged member who competed for Team England in the Commonwealth Games in Manchester in 2002. Using the Bodyzone Gym for all her weight & strength training.

Mel is also a former British hurdles champion in 100m & 60m hurdles. She represented GB in the World Champs for senior & Junior.

Today the Commonwealth Games kicks off with the opening ceremony in Birmingham. So it was a good opportunity to reflect on this moment 20 years ago, as the games return to UK!

Mel still runs & works out proving that age is nothing but a number & Bodyzone gym is open to all ages!

So come down, work out, watch the Commonwealth Games and let these athletes of all sports inspire you!

Wishing Dan Ceman former Bracknell Bees 🐝 ice hockey player & Body Zone member the best of luck in his new Head Coaching role. After success in Slovakia in 2019 he’s heading back this time to HC Kosice, Slovakia. Coaching in the Slovak Extraliga (Elite Ice Hockey League). Dan has won championships in ice hockey in Denmark 3 times & in Slovakia (first North American coach to ever win).
Dan still visits the Body Zone to touch base with Sid between his hockey seasons. His wife is also from Bracknell & former GB & England International Hurdler, also a Bodyzone member who’s trained here for 32 years, under the watchful eye of Sid through her career.
All the best Dan on your new contract

Another Bodyzone member, completed a huge milestone by completing his first ultra marathon. �
Jack ran for a time of 23 hours and 46 minutes up and down Mount Snowdon in Wales. �
Jack achieved 5 ascents in this time and equalled the height of Mont Blanc. 10,000 calories burnt and over 50 miles covered. �
Jack also raised £2360 for a mental health charity called CALM ( campaign against living miserably) �
Another one of Bodyzone members going for gold.
