Another happy Aquaphobia student building their confidence in the water.
Just over a week ago this lady was nervous just looking at the water, and her first session was her sitting with her feet in the water, then, lowering herself into waist deep water.

Fast forward 6 hours, today was swimming through a hoop underwater, and finishing with a 50m distance of finning on her back without any floatation aids.

The use of fins to aid swimming technique and confidence in water is highly under valued.

We’ve yet to start swimming lessons.

This is one of my Aquaphobia clients and this is their 6th session with me.

On day 1 they were nervous climbing into the pool in the shallow end 1.07m,

Since then she has floated on her back and rotated onto her front, done floating to standing, prone and supine.

Pushed off the side underwater and swam through a hoop.

Stepped off the side into 3.57m depth water and came back up to the surface unaided

And she has even finned on her back 25m x 2 unaided without any floatation aids, just fins.

And we haven’t even started swimming lessons yet. We’ve just been building confidence in the water.

Just short of 6 hours training in the water and her confidence has increased so much, enough to say that this has been a “life changing experience” for her.

I love what I do!

She is amazing!
