Croft race report !

Time for a track ive never loved .... its a good track a real riders circuit but ive just never 'loved' it, key weekend though due to my main championship rival not being there.
Anyway, friday the test day - warm and windy i spent the day getting to grips with all the bumps again, the bike felt nervous so some suspension changes were made and boom it was a completely different bike to ride, I ended the day full of confidence 0.8 seconds faster than previous years pb.

Saturday morning qually - another dry day i set out early trying to find some clear track, result P1 in class, 7th overall now 2 seconds faster than previous years pb, however only 1 tenth faster than a new name in my class...
Race 1 - got a good launch p5 into turn 1 but behind a new rival, two corners later i was passed him and ready to pull the pin, worked my way up to p3 overall and p1 in class.
P2 in class had incurred a 10 second penalty due to a jump start so seeing a huge gap on the pit board I eased off for the last couple of laps, dropping to P5 overall but P1 in class and now 2.3 seconds faster than 2025.

Sunday - another dry day but my god was it blustery!
Race 2, after a red flag on lap one we set up for an 8 lap race, by far my favourite race of the weekend.
Another good launch saw p3 into turn one and managed to hold it for a few laps but ultimately some newer bikes got the better of me but all I had to do was be consistent and ride to that pit board.
Really enjoyed the bike and kept in touch with the front lads managed to keep my lap times within half a second something I was proud of, ended up p1 in class by 9 seconds p5 overall and my best lap of the weekend 1:26.8 which is 3.1 seconds faster than 2025

Race 3 - still blowing a gale we set up for the final 10 lap race.
Got away with another good launch p3 into turn 1 ! Started riding abit tense after a couple laps with a 2 second gap back to p2 in class.
Lap 5 arm pump started to set in however the pit board still said +2 seconds, not knowing if I was going to be able to manage the arm pump for the full race I had to dig in but ultimately a big highside from cully caused a red flag on lap 6 😲 fortunately he was ok but due to time restraints the clerk of the course called the race a result, P1 in class !

Another clean sweep 9 wins from 9 so far with 112 point lead in the championship !
Fingers crossed we can keep this ball rolling the rest of the year !
It wouldn't be possible without the whole RAF Motorcycle Road Racing team along with help from :

What a weekend! Heat, drama, last-lap scraps, once again, Donington Park delivered the goods as No Limits Racing rolled into town for Round 2 of the season. It was an incredible weekend of action with some first-time winners and plenty of returning faces as we celebrated a packed 23-race schedule .....

Rite time for another race report !

Friday half day test for me just to get an eye in, all went well with in a second of my pb.

Saturday morning oldskl 1k Qually, freezing cold, no track temp and feeling tense ... found 1 clear lap good enough for P1 in class and p5 overall, my championship rival down in 17th.
Saturdays race was red flagged due to an accident and moved to sunday.

Saturday evening saw the 750km endurance race with our team SHARPY 617 DAMBUSTERS Racing
Absolutely sterling effort from the guys running solid times finishing 18th overall and 5th in class

Sunday - busy busy day, 4 races and Mil qually.

Mil qually 9.15am , p3 on the grid felt half decent for first thing.

Race 1, again .... got away from the line pretty well p3 into turn one, pretty chill race, made a couple of mistakes just from riding tense but I was just trying to ride to the pit board, great appreciation to Alan Sharp for doing a great job.
Finished p5 overall and p1 in class 3 seconds ahead of my rival.

Race 2
My rival set a faster lap in the previous race so started two grid slots ahead, both got away well but he was 5 bikes ahead so it was head down to catch him, 2 laps later I was rite behind, I decided to follow for two laps to figure out his strengths and weaknesses.
I decided to make the pass and pulled a 3 second gap, however either I chilled out abit to much or he found some rocket fuel as he managed to close the gap and pass me at the old hairpin with a lap and half to go .... crap .... time to dig in ! I passed him back knowing I was strong into foggy esses.
Final lap time, let's have it head down and focus, set a new PB on the final lap and managed to pull a 1 second gap taking win number 2 !

Mil race time !

Starting p3 I got a good inital launch thought I would get the hole shot but hit a neutral from 1st to 2nd gear dropping me to around 7th ....
Again no panic, focus and dig in, picking off 3 riders in 2 laps with a 3 second gap up to 3rd.
Another 2 laps it was time to make the pass on the brakes into Melbourne loop, job done built a 4 second gap to ultimately finish 3rd and top RAF rider.
It was a great showing from the whole RAF team filling 8 of the top 12 spots !

Race 3 Final race of the day thank god ...
Sore, achey and running on Harribo let's have it !
Not a bad start again but so did my main rival, no stress felt confident i could pass him and I did 2 laps in ! Actually feeling good minus abit of arm pump the winter training paid off as I pulled a 10 second gap over my rival who fatigued drastically for another Class win and 5th overall.

Had to work for it this weekend but it was great fun ! 3 class wins and a 3rd in the Interservice race.
Couldn't do it without all the support and help from friends, family and the team !
Big shoutouts to Andrew Buchanan for helping manage some ongoing brake issues aswell as previously mentioned Sharpy for running the pit board perfectly.
Also thanks to:
Mototec
A16 Road N Race Supplies
RAF Motorcycle Road Racing
RST
GBRacing World Class Motorcycle Protection

37 point lead in the championship now, fingers crossed we can keep the ball rolling at Croft end of may !

As always if anyone wants to get involved in my journey and help support please let me know !
