THE LAST STAND

Final round of No Limits Racing NLR - HQ at Donington Park.

Build up to the weekend had been stressful, trying to sort an electrical issue that arrived at Anglesey, big shout out to DWR squeezing the old girl on the dyno and figuring out the problem.

Friday Teat day:
Moist and windy ... i split the day with a fellow rider however only managed one very wet session due to oil being spilt on track just before my second session, not to worry I had proved the bike was fixed.

Saturday:
Again woke to a damp morning .... the wets were in the bike and it was time for qually.
2 things ive tried to focus on over the last 2 season have been qualifying well and pushing myself in the wet conditions, both of these have paid of i qualified P1 in class and P2 overall against a grid of modern technologies and rider aids ....
Due to horrid weather conditions a few set backs my race was postponed to sunday.

The evening was all about endurance with SHARPY 617 DAMBUSTERS Racing.
A solid ride from Alan and Joe in mixed conditions see them finish P21 of 36 and doing so on a single bike.
Great effort from the team during pit stops to swap wheels at a rapid rate.

Sunday - D-Day

Straight out for the Interservice qualifying, again a wet/cold track remained despite the sunshine.
Missed out on pole by 0.004 of a second but felt good on the wet conditions.
Quick pit stop before qually for some fuel and it was back down to the grid for my first race.

Starting P2 i got a mega launch and took the hole shot leading the way and gapping the feild, 4 laps in red flag.
We restarted the race for a 4 lap sprint, another mint start would see me whole shot again, leading the whole race up to the final chicane where Keiran Wood (Army) made a lunge on Cully but couldn't quite get it stopped going past me and running deep, luckily I caught him out of the corner of my eye, avoided collision and focused on the cut back and good drive crossing the line P1 overall beating modern bikes in the rain with an 18 year old fireblade ! Well chuffed !

I sat out the other 2 oldskl 1k races just to save me and the bike.

1400 Interservice race, the pressure was high the nerves were apparent, all i needed was a top 10 finish to take the championship.
12 laps to decide my fate, I got a great launch again hole shot into turn 1.
Unfortunately sitting out the other races meant id not been on a dry track all weekend so felt abit uncomfortable.... i dropped back to 4th and had a lonely race telling myself to be sensible and not chase the top 3, had a small run in with a back marker that could of ended it all but luckily survived.
12 tense laps later P4 means I was crowed a champion for the second time a very proud moment for me, something I thought was never within reach 🏆

To top it all off the team as a whole have had a fantastic season and won back the Interserve team championship from the Army, not a bad way to end my first season as team captain.

X2 🏆🏆

Dean’s done it again. Double champion in 2026.

A huge congratulations to Dean Turner on securing both the GBRacing World Class Motorcycle Protection Interservice Championship and the No Limits Racing NLR - HQ Old Skl 1k Championship.

Two championship titles in one season is an incredible achievement and a reflection of the hard work, consistency and commitment Dean and the RAF Motorcycle Road Racing team have put in throughout the year.

MOTOTEC is proud to support Dean as one of our backed riders and to have played a part in such a successful season.

Two championships. One outstanding 2026 season.

Rite penultimate round at Anglesey last time out, one of the 2 tracks I dislike most on the calendar.
Fortunately the title is done and dusted so pressure is off in the oldskl 1k trophy 🏆 but full focus is on the Interservice championship.

Fridays test day was cancled due to some biblical weather.

Saturday morning qually, I didnt feel at one with the bike and had what ended up being a day full of the sh*ts 💩
Anyway it rained most the morning untill we were due out so it was wets onto a drying track, great .... anyway qualified 3rd in class and 6th on the grid.

Race 1 I wasnt feeling it atall, no energy or enthusiasm but thought let's just use the race as testing ready for the mill race. Close battle between 3 of us in the oldskl class i ended up pipping sam for 2nd at the line by 0.039 😅

Saturday evening i helped SHARPY 617 DAMBUSTERS Racing and Joe Culyer as they competed in the 3 hour endurance, both putting in solid stints on a single bike finishing a respectable 17th overal 🤙🏻

Sunday morning, mill qually, Army played some tactics and blocked me from getting out onto clear track .... not that it mattered i worked through to the front and qualified P3, top 3 of us withing half a second.

Race 2 was fairly boring, knowing i had no need to push especially on a track I dont like i finished P2 in class P4 overall, fair play to Sam he won the whole race and showed some real good pace.

Interservice race, my main focus !
Good start saw me P3, and what a battle it was, me Sam and Keiran left the rest of the feild behind with Keiran eventually pulling a couple of second lead.
I sat on Sam's rear wheel for the whole race planning my attack, I had to finish ahead of him to increase the championship lead. 3 laps of practicing my plan I put it into action on the last lap outbreaking Sam into rocket and defending him for the last half a lap, finished P2 and increased the lead to 14 points.

Race 3 was crap, 2nd lap the bike after a faultless season decided to start misfiring, suspected crank sensor as it usually breaks down after a crash like i had at knockhill.

So I felt like it was a crap weekend, ended on abit of a low but managed to increase my lead in the Interservice championship and went 2 seconds faster than last year so not all bad.
One round to go in 3 weeks, lets see if i can become a double champion 🏆

SUNNY SCOTLAND - Round 7 at knockhill with No Limits Racing NLR - HQ

The dream came true, i wont write a novel this time ill just throw some facts ....
746 mile round trip X3 Class wins X2 overal podiums against the modern bikes X1 crash in the military race ... c**k X1 race fastest lap X1 2026 Oldskl 1K championship secured 🏆

Couldn't of made it happen without the help from the whole team especially the lads for rebuilding my bike after the off and as always Alan Sharp SHARPY 617 DAMBUSTERS Racing forr running my pit board.
Also couldnt of been done without the support from friends and family allowing me to chase a dream ❤️

CADWELL PARK RACE REPORT

So cadwell park round 6 !
Not my favourite track by anymeans, narrow, fast, technical and even has a mountain ....

Due to work commitments I wasnt able to do the test day on friday, however did manage to get there in time for one cheeky 15 min session in the evening, ending up under a second off my PB so not a bad start.

Saturday morning gave us something new, free practice ! Due to no endurance this weekend NLR had time to fill.
15 mins of practice got me to within half a second of my PB.

QUALLY- for the first time I didnt make pole in class, I did set a new PB by half a second but sam woke up fast ... I started p12 on the grid p2 in class with sam in p8.

Race 1 - got an absolute belter of a start, 12th up to 6th into turn 1.
From then on it was a pretty boring race however i did smash my PB now 2 seconds faster than last year, ended up 6th overall and 1st in class keeping the winning streak going ! Ended up 7 seconds ahead of sam back in p8 overall.

SUNDAY

Woke up to a moist Cadwell ... joy ...

Interservice Qually -Tire roulette was the game of the morning, to wet for slicks, to dry for wets.
Ultimately had to run wets on a drying track, few big moments including an almost carbon copy of my highside out of barn in 2024 ...but a quick 4 laps gave me a good enough lap for p6 on the grid.

Race 2 - still early in the morning and not 100% sure of conditions i opted for slicks, this was the rite choice ! Another mint start got me into 3rd at turn 1 however I didnt have full confidence the track was complete dry so went backwards a few spots on the opening lap, dropping back to 6th.
Unfortunately the race leader keiran wood went out with a wet front tire and ended up having a big crash at turn 1 (rider ok) this upped me to 5th overall, again a pretty boring race just running to a pitboard trying not to do anything silly.
Result P1 in class 2nd win of the day with sam getting caught in traffic 6 seconds behind.

Interservice race - always carnage at cadwell, starting 6th on the grid I needed a good start and I got it ! P2 into turn 1 chasing my old rival Sam Foster, half a lap in red flag due to a Navy rider taking a nap (rider ok)
Restart for a 6 lap dash i had to do it again.
Lights out and another belter, p2 into turn 1 and sam was flying in front, the pace was high and we dropped the rest of the feild, sam made a mistake on lap 3 and I made the move into Mansfield, job done managed to pull roughly a 1 second gap and hold it to the end but sam pushed me the whole way, he even set the fastest lap of the race chasing me but ultimately I managed my 2nd Interservice win in a row !

The rest of the RAF team did a great job bringing in a huge points haul towards the Interservice trophy.

Race 3 - A 20 minute break after the Interservice it was back out for the last 10 lap race.
Running on empty I wasnt 100% confident i had enough in the tank for this battle.
Another good start got me into 6th but I knew it wouldnt be enough, the pit board showed only 1 second, I had to make some moves putting some bikes between me and sam, I managed to get into 4th but sam was still coming, I maintained the gap on the pit board at around 3 seconds this was just enough to keep him at bay rite behind me. I ended up 3rd overall and another win making it my second round on the bounce with 4 wins ! Also managed another PB in the last race taking me 2.5 under last years time.

For a track i dont particularly like ive walked away with out crashing there for the first time in 3 years and extended both championship leads.

It wouldnt be possible without Alan Sharp running my pit board, Matthew Macca McCreadie and Andrew Buchanan being on hand to treat me like the princess I am 🤷🏻‍♂️ and the help from all along the way inc:
