Moylan School of Dance Moylan School of Dance welcomes all ages and levels to enjoy Ballet, Lyrical, Modern, Jazz and Contemporary classes in Brackley, Northamptonshire

Royal Academy of Dance classes for Children and Adults. Traditional ballet classes with trained pianists and also classes in Contemporary Dance. We offer examinations at all levels from Primary to Advanced with regular performance work. For our performances we extend to modern/jazz, contemporary and cultural dance. ✨ WE’RE BACK! 🩰✨

After a lovely summer break, I’m SO excited to be back in the studio this evening! 🥳

I can’t wait to see all of my dancers back in class, hear all about their summer adventures and get back to learning, dancing and having lots of fun together! 💜

A very special WELCOME to all of our new starters who will be joining us for trial lessons at Moylan School of Dance over the next few weeks. It’s so lovely to have you with us, and I can’t wait to meet you! 🥰

I also have a few exciting announcements coming over the next few weeks, so keep your eyes peeled! 👀✨

A little appreciation post for our wonderful adult ballet dancers 🩰✨

So many of them started as complete beginners, with little or no previous ballet experience, and they’ve worked so hard to build their confidence, strength and technique.

It’s so lovely to see their progress, and even better to see how much they enjoy dancing along the way! 🤍

NEW Primary Modern Class for 4–7 Year Olds! 🩵

In each fun-filled lesson, children will learn the foundations of modern dance through exciting travelling steps, jumps, turns and stretches. They’ll develop coordination, balance, strength and flexibility, while improving their musicality and rhythm.

What a fantastic day we had at our Summer Workshop last week! ☀️

There was plenty of dancing - Modern, Acro, Ballet and Tap. Lots of opportunities to explore creativity and their own choreography, new friendships… and, of course, a few biscuits! 🤭

A huge well done to all of our wonderful dancers for your enthusiasm, hard work and beautiful smiles throughout the day. It was such a joy to spend the day dancing with you all, and I can’t wait to see you in back at classes in September!

🩰 BALLET INTENSIVE WORKSHOP 🩰

Are you a dancer wanting to improve or gain a greater understanding of ballet technique?

Join us for our Summer Ballet Intensive Workshop at Moylan School of Dance!

For dancers already attending ballet classes and wanting to refine their technique in this intensive workshop.

Contents of the course will include:

✨Understanding and utilising turnout
✨Core stability and balance
✨Ballet specific strengthening exercises
✨Lines and port des bras
✨Stretching for flexibility

Grade 3+ (or secondary school age)

🌞 Wow… what a week of heat it’s been! 🌞

Despite the soaring temperatures, our dancers have worked incredibly hard while making sure we stayed safe and kept cool. Everyone has been in great spirits and behaved so beautifully too!

This week we’ve enjoyed plenty of stretching, gentle conditioning, floor work and floor barre exercises – all perfect for keeping our bodies moving without overdoing it in the heat.

I think it’s fair to say that both Mrs Malpass and I enjoyed our Sleeping Fairies game with the little ones just as much as they did! 😂🧚✨
