Equihandee

Equihandee Harness designed for young & disabled riders. Helps handlers keep the riders secure in an easy way

Equihandee is a riding aid designed to help keep your horse riders safer whilst riding, we have created a handle that helps keep unstable riders in the saddle. Equihandee was designed by myself for my daughter whilst she learnt to ride. I struggled to hold onto her securely I would either grab hold of her clothes at her back, which was uncomfortable for her or I would hold onto her thigh, but this

just caused discomfort as I would hold on too tight. So I got to work on creating something that would benefit myself and my daughter in stabilising her in the saddle

Produced by a leading UK industrial fall protection harness manufacturer & using similar materials, the Equihandee harness has been designed & produced with the knowledge that it offers the owner and user a durable, high quality product that will last! The main construction of the harness is 25mm wide polyester webbing, which has minimum break strength of 1.5tonnes. Even the thread used within the harness is a high strength polyester filament type, giving you the assurance that nothing has been left to chance with the quality of this equestrian training safety product. Equihandee will be an invaluable addition to anyone’s riding attire who is wishing to enjoy riding these beautiful animals.

Let’s talk about a game-changer for parents, coaches, and sidewalkers... 🛑

Holding onto a child’s jacket or waistband while they ride isn't just uncomfortable—it can actually throw off their natural alignment and balance.

The Equihandee Original Harness changes everything.

It gives you a secure, reliable handle to support your young rider without getting in the way of their movement.

Because the harness lets them move freely, it does something amazing: it gently forces them to find their own balance, activate their muscles and build real core strength with every stride.

They get the freedom to truly feel the horse and you get the peace of mind knowing you have a firm hold if they wobble.

It’s the ultimate riding aid for:

• Little ones just starting out on lead-rein
• Young riders building up their stamina
• Children who struggle with gowing their confidence in the saddle

Give them the freedom to grow into strong, independent riders! 🦄✨

As you must’ve heard by now, we have launched our exciting new venture into the world of equine facilitated learning

At the heart of EFL are our ponies, so I thought I would introduce our current team

This is Juke, he is an absolute superstar and a true cornerstone of our EFL team.

Known around the Yard for his incredible calm and gentle personality, he brings a wonderful reassuring presence to all of our sessions.

When he’s not working his magic, he forms a fantastic team with Matilda out hacking and jumping. He is a total dream to look after and never wants to miss his morning chaff although he’d happily skip a clipping session if given the choice!

Juke’s big heart makes him the perfect partner for this work.

Favourite past time for Juke is definitely eating 🤣

This is something I have been putting off for a long time but I think the time has come

Percy is now looking for a new home, he is wasted with us and he needs to find his new human to go have fun with

This is heartbreaking for us as you will know we owned his mum who we very suddenly lost

So if you know of anyone who is looking for a superb little chap to have fun with then here is his advert 😭

This lovely boy is looking for a small kind confident rider, suitable for a child/lead rein/kids pony.
He is measured at 12hh 7 year old

We’ve had him since he was born so we know everything about him from head to toe, He’s only had one home in his whole life which has been with us, but the time has come for someone to love and have fun with him.

He’s the loveliest chap on earth and just wants to please, not many ponies you can hop on and go! He’s quite happy to be left for weeks and you can get on without a worry.

He responds well to your voice, he’s not nasty or dangerous in anyway possible, he just wants to please and have fun! 🥕

He’ll walk/trot and canter quite happily in the school and out hacking will go over ditches and pop over a log etc, he’s perfect to lunge and will go off from your voice. He’s a quick learner!
You can sit on him in the field, he is fine with dogs running around his legs and with heavy machinery/cars! & quad bikes in his field etc as he lives on a busy farm. 🥕

All we want is Percy to have a human to love and spoil him.
He is currently barefoot and always has been, he’s a good-doer and lives on fresh air quite literally!!
He lives out 24/7.🥕

Hes been in the trailer and loads like a dream, will happily stand all day.
Good as gold for the farrier, dentist, vet and easy to catch from the field. You can partner him up with anyone in the field he is always low down in the pecking order. He will happily stand to be clipped but isn’t keen on his legs or face that’s still a working progress (he’s just unsure)
Percy does have mild sweet-itch but it is easily managed.🥕

Behind every new business launch is a mountain of passion, dedication and a deep belief in the power of what we do. 💖

We have passed our council inspections with flying colours, secured our specialist insurance and our incredible equine team is officially ready to do what they do best: help people thrive. 🐎✨

Equine Facilitated Learning isn’t about learning how to trot or canter; it’s about learning who you are.

Through a partnership with horses our clients discover how to slow down, regulate their emotions and build a toolkit for life’s ups and downs.

Seeing the immediate connection and sense of calm that passes between a human and a horse is exactly why we started this business.

We are so proud to finally offer these life-changing sessions to our community.

If you are a parent, educator, therapist or individual curious about how EFL can support you or someone you care about, we would love to connect.

Get in touch today to discuss our sessions and find the perfect path forward!

Every child deserves to experience the magic and freedom.

For riders with unique physical or sensory needs, feeling entirely stable in the saddle is everything. 🌟

The Equihandee Bunny Ears in child size provide that vital tactile feedback and helps with physical security that can completely transform a riding lesson.

How it benefits adaptive and young riders:

✨ Instant Support: Provides a constant, stationary physical anchor point that helps reduce anxiety in the saddle.

✨ Develops Muscle Memory: Helps riders recognise and adjust their own balance independently as they feel the movement of the pony.

✨ Gentle & Effective: Eliminates the need for handlers to constantly touch or hold the child, allowing for a more autonomous, relaxed experience.

From therapeutic riding to the very first lead-rein lesson, Bunny Ears make the saddle a safe, joyful space to grow. 🦄💚

Have you tried the Bunny Ears with your little equestrian yet?

Hacking out or riding in a busy arena should be a joyful experience for everyone.

But for riders with hidden disabilities, it can also bring a layer of hidden anxiety.

If another rider passes too closely, or a driver doesn't realise a rider can't hear them, a lovely hack can quickly become stressful.

That’s why we created our Disability Hi Viz range.

These tabards and waistcoats do the talking for you when you’re in the saddle.

By clearly displaying notices like 'BLIND RIDER', 'DEAF RIDER', or 'WALK ONLY RIDER', they give the outside world the exact information they need to act safely.

The real benefits:
Instant understanding: It subtly prompts drivers, cyclists and other riders to give you that extra bit of space, time and consideration.

Peace of mind: It removes the stress of having to explain your needs while managing your horse, allowing you to focus entirely on your ride.

Safety isn’t just about protecting ourselves; it’s about helping others understand how to protect us, too. 💛

Not sure if you’ve heard our exciting news, but we have officially launched our new EFL (Equine Facilitated Learning) business! 🐴✨

After a bit of an unexpected delay and recovery period, we are absolutely thrilled to finally open our gates.

So, what exactly is Equine Facilitated Learning?

EFL is a powerful, hands-on approach to personal development, emotional regulation and wellbeing.

Instead of riding, all of our work takes place on the ground.

Through structured, non-riding activities and interactions with our incredible ponies, individuals can develop crucial life skills such as:

🌱 Self-awareness and emotional resilience
💬 Clear communication and boundary-setting
🧠 Anxiety management and mindfulness
🌟 Deep, lasting self-confidence

Horses are ultimate mirrors—they don’t judge, they don’t overcomplicate, they simply respond to our genuine energy and emotions.

Our sessions provide a safe, calm and nurturing space to learn, grow and heal alongside these magnificent animals.

Whether you are looking for support for a child, a young person or yourself, we are here to guide you on this journey.

Stay tuned as we share more about our sessions or send us a message today to find out how we can help! 💬👇
