As I sit here in the spectator gallery at the Maxwells Sprint Meet, watching the pool come to life with swimmers, coaches, and supporters, I feel incredibly proud to be part of such a special club.

This weekend marks a new experience for Brackley Swimming Club as we compete at this meet for the first time alongside so many other fantastic clubs. For our swimmers, it’s an exciting opportunity to race, challenge themselves, and represent the club with determination and team spirit.

As both the Club Secretary and a very proud swim parent, seeing my daughter and her teammates poolside reminds me just how much hard work, commitment, and passion goes into moments like these.

A huge thank you must go to our coaches and Team Managers, who generously give up their time and weekends to support our swimmers. Their dedication, encouragement, and organisation make it possible for our swimmers to attend meets like this and gain such valuable racing experience. The hours they spend preparing the team, guiding the swimmers, and cheering them on never go unnoticed.

Good luck to all our swimmers this weekend — swim fast, enjoy every race, support one another, and most of all be proud to wear the Brackley colours. ❤️💙🤍🏊🏻‍♀️

WOW…….What a Championship!

As a club, we want to pause and share our deepest thanks to our amazing coaches, Heidi and Lucy, and our dedicated Team Managers, who gave absolutely everything at the Northamptonshire County Championships.

The days were long, some stretching to 12 hours. The heat on poolside was intense, and the demands were constant. Yet throughout it all, you showed unwavering commitment, patience and care. Your reassurance, organisation and encouragement created an environment where our swimmers felt supported, focused and believed in, and that made all the difference.

What we saw this weekend was built long before the first race. It comes from countless hours on poolside, thoughtful training plans, honest feedback, quiet motivation and an unshakeable belief in every swimmer. Because of that dedication, our swimmers were able to qualify, stand tall on the blocks, and perform with confidence on the county stage. Without you, this simply wouldn’t have been possible.

To our swimmers - we could not be prouder. Each and every one of you represented Brackley Swimming Club with resilience, determination and true team spirit. You handled the pressure, the long days and the conditions with maturity beyond your years, and you should be incredibly proud of what you achieved.

Thank you for an unforgettable event, and for everything you continue to give to our club, day in and day out.

WOW what a weekend - We want to take a moment to say a huge and heartfelt thank you to our own incredible Coaches Heidi and Lucy and our Team Managers who attended this weekend at the Northamptonshire County Championships.

Your commitment over what have been very long, 12-hour days, standing poolside in challenging heat, never went unnoticed. The energy, encouragement, organisation and calm support you gave throughout the weekend made such a difference, not just to results, but to the confidence and experience of every swimmer who competed.

None of this would be possible without the dedication that happens week in, week out. The time, effort, training plans, feedback, motivation and belief you give our swimmers is the reason we were able to stand poolside at Counties at all. Without you, we simply wouldn’t have had swimmers qualifying, competing and thriving at this level.

We are also immensely proud of our swimmers. Every single one of you represented Brackley Swimming Club with determination, resilience and team spirit — you truly did us proud.

We now look forward to attending the second weekend in February and can’t wait to see what this next stage brings.

Thank you all for an unforgettable weekend and for everything you continue to do for the club.

Today we are incredibly proud to be supporting our swimmers at the first weekend of Northamptonshire County Championships.

Qualifying for Counties is a HUGE achievement in itself and something every swimmer here should be extremely proud of. It reflects months (and years!) of hard work, commitment, determination and belief — you’ve earned your place on those blocks.

For some of our swimmers, today marks their very first County Championships. Nerves are completely normal, it means you care but remember you belong here just as much as anyone else.

Soak up the atmosphere, enjoy the experience, support each other and most importantly do your best. That’s all we ever ask. Whatever the outcome, stepping onto that poolside wearing your club colours is already a win ❤️

Wishing each and every swimmer the very best of luck. Swim brave, swim proud, and enjoy every second of it.

What a year it’s been for our amazing Little Swimming Club!

We kicked off 2025 in style at Counties, setting the tone for a year full of commitment, determination and team spirit. From there, our swimmers took on galas in Coventry, Witney and Daventry, with fantastic success at every event. Medals were won, personal bests were smashed, and confidence grew meet by meet.

Every single swimmer should be incredibly proud of what they have achieved this year. The hard work put in at training, the support for one another poolside, and the resilience shown throughout the season has been truly inspiring.

We wrapped up the year tonight in the best possible way with a fun-filled festive session, complete with Christmas music and games, bringing lots of laughter and smiles and reminding us what a special club community we are.

As we close out the year, we would like to wish all our swimmers, families, coaches and supporters a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Thank you for being part of our journey – we can’t wait to see what the new year brings 🎉 ❤️

We’re heading to the Coventry Level 3 Meet!

We are incredibly proud of each and every swimmer and everything they’ve achieved this year. From gala to gala, meet to meet, and training session after training session, you’ve shown determination, resilience, and teamwork and we’ve walked away proud every single time.

Let’s go and end the year on a high… smash those PBs and show everyone what Brackley Swimming Club is made of!

Heidi has sent her good luck message this morning; although she may not be with us in person, she’s with us in spirit — and the countdown is officially on to her return.

A huge thank you to Coventry for having us — we can’t wait for a great day of racing!

Day 2 at the Daventry Gala… let’s do this!

Every single swimmer did both us and themselves proud yesterday, bringing home medals, smashing PBs, and taking on those longer distances like absolute champs. Stepping out of your comfort zone isn’t easy, but you all rose to the challenge and we’re incredibly PROUD of you for it!

Now… time to go smash Day 2! Let’s go team! 💪

This weekend we’re heading over to the Daventry Dolphins Swimming Club Gala!

A big good luck to our swimmers and to all the Daventry Dolphins swimmers competing this weekend, we hope each and every one of you has a fantastic meet and get the results you want.

Remember, bringing home a medal is always exciting… but those PBs are just as important. All the hard training you’ve put in will pay off — trust your work and give it your all!

What a brilliant session in the pool today!
We had great fun playing Swim Bingo – mixing up different strokes, distances, and even throwing in the good old doggy paddle (which is way trickier than you’d think for a swimmer! 🐶💦).

Big congratulations to the winning team for being the first to complete a line across the board.

We wrapped up the session with some focused practice on dives and turns as we get ready for the upcoming galas. Fantastic effort from everyone today – keep it up team!
