Popped up to the Rissington Artisan Market for a nosey, left with some cute, handmade bits from - Erin insisted on a sparkly fairy wand and matchy matchy hair slides.....which helped her look glam when she had to get her girl boss on and help daddy with bank holiday jobs this afternoon!!!!
is on every month and showcases loads of small, local businesses - including farmers market staples like fresh veg, flowers and meat but also special little creators like the talented and incredible and its always worth a peek!

Some of my favourite sessions include the CALM work we do at Cotswolds Health & Fitness - these kids always bring the determination to try new things, get stronger and have fun in the gym! Variety for all ages to overcome their challenges and making my job so rewarding and fun!!!

It’s great to be able to share this brilliant news about Isaac, one of the very first children supported by Calm. Last month Isaac was one of only eight para rowers chosen from across the world to attend the Para Rowing Foundations Intensive Training Programme 2025 in Portugal. As part of this fantastic opportunity, Isaac received top class coaching and expert support. We want to send our huge congratulations to Isaac for all that he has achieved so far and really look forward to following his journey to become a para rower. Well done Isaac from everyone at Calm

This morning I wanted to do 4 sets of 8 reps hip thrusts with 95kg.....in a brain dead moment I managed to load the bar with 115kg and did 5 reps wondering why the hell it felt so hard πŸ˜‚πŸ€¦ however it seemed a bit ridiculous to drop 20kg when I'd managed 5 reps so I took 5kg off and did 4 sets of 6 reps at 110kg.......moral of the story - you are stronger than you think!! Challenge = progress......and weight lifting is also maths πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ note to self: work on your adding up 🀦

Accountability Post!!
It may not look like it to some but I am starting 2025 in the worst shape I've been in in years..... Christmas hasn't helped but lack of time to train like I used to now I'm someones mum means I'm carrying an extra stone & my fitness is seriously under what it was. While my priorities have changed, and thats exactly how it should be, it doesn't sit well with me and actually affects my mental health as much as my physical so its time for change......
My daughter turns 3 this year and I want to set a good example of an active lifestyle but more than that I know when my mental health is better so is my parenting so its time to lock back into regular training and better eating.
Starting small with the aim of training more regularly, the first goal is 4 training sessions a week, combining weight training - which I love - and at least one run a week......once thats an established habit I can build on that and hopefully start to see the results.....
What are your goals for 2025? Baby steps can add up to big changes, start small and aim high!!
