A sad day for the club as another door closes. Due to circumstances out of our control, we've had to vacate our temporary home at Iford. Because we are left with no other option for premises after years of trying to secure a more permanent location, we will be closing the club until further notice. The last remaining committee members will continue to explore any option that hasn't already been considered, but until then we will no longer be operational.

This photo was taken today as we cleared out the last few belongings of the club. A shame, as I think you'll agree that's a championship winning crew right there! 🀣🚣

Thanks to everyone who has supported the club over the years, particularly the few that have tried to keep things going until the bitter end. Let's hope we see those red and black stripes back on the water some day! β€οΈπŸ–€

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our President, Peter Arnaudy.

Pete was a Westover & Bournemouth legend and dedicated much of his life to the club. He was Club Captain in 1968 and 1969, as well as Club President from 1999-2008 and then also for the last 3 years of his life. And during his time on the water, he won both Junior and J/S championships.

Pete continued to support the club and attend regattas well into his later years and always came with a big smile on his face.

In the photos Pete is pictured christening the pair that was named after him, which went on to carry numerous crews to victory and win many championships for the club.

He was a true gentleman and our condolences our with his family. He will be sorely missed by the rowing community.

RIP Peter Arnaudy

We will update you with funeral arrangements when we have them.

Today we said goodbye to a true rowing legend - Alvin Michael Ranson. He did so much for our club over recent years and we owe a lot of our success to him alone. But rowing aside, he was a great man and the turnout at his funeral today was testament to the impact he had on so many people's lives. He will be sorely missed by many. RIP Alvin

Thank you to all those who have already contributed to his collection. If you haven't done so already and would like to, here is the link:

Congratulations to our J16 boys who won their race at Milford on the weekend. They fought hard to work their way back after falling behind on the start and rowed through the other crews to victory.
