After ten months together, learning lots and competing all over the country, including Blackpool to balmy Bournemouth, we are sad to announce that Henry and Lauren's dancing partnership is at an amicable end.

As a couple they finish as 5th place holders in the National League in U14's for Latin.

Henry and Lauren would like to thank their teachers and families for their support on this journey which has seen them both become stronger competitors.

Thank you to everyone who has followed their progress - they wish each other all the best for the future and with their respective partner searches.

Not dancing related, but Henry is one of 36 Scouts representing Bedfordshire at the 2019 World Scout Jamboree in West Virginia, USA. On Sunday 12th August 2018, Henry will do a sponsored 8.5 mile kayak from Great Barford in Bedford to St. Neots, on the Great Ouse. This is a full day paddle that will be particularly challenging for Henry because although he loves being on the water, he likes messing around in a play boat - he is not keen on river trips at all (huge understatement) and has never kayaked this far before. He would therefore really appreciate any donations that you are able to make, which will all go towards his World Scout Jamboree fundraising effort. Thank you!

Henry & Lauren really enjoyed competing in the United Kingdom Closed Championships, concentrating their efforts on the Under 14’s categories. Dancing with the best in the country was always going to be challenging and the weekend has brought some disappointments as well as successes - all of which will be built on. Thank you to the DPA for organising and to all of our friends, family and supporters. A massive thank you also goes to DC Dancewear for Lauren’s beautiful dresses - she looked absolutely stunning. Most importantly though, our thanks go to Richard Still, who continually pushes them to new levels.

A great start to the Twenty-Ninth Annual United Kingdom Closed Championships, with Henry & Lauren making the Semi Finals in the DNL United Kingdom Closed Under 14’s Ballroom Championship and the Quarter Finals in the Cha Cha Cha & Rumba in the Bournemouth Masters Open Junior 10 Dance. Thank you to the DPA for organising - we’re looking forward to tomorrow!

A privilege to dance for the magnificent panel of super adjudicators at the inaugural London Globe Open to the World Championships yesterday evening in the regal Bishopsgate Hall - something of a ‘boutique’ venue in the very centre of London.

Three events danced; Under 14s finalists and Junior ballroom finalists.

Lovely to see so many friends and the professional and amateur champs were great to watch too.
