A weekend in a convent… how epic! ✨
British Wheel of Yoga Teacher Training Retreat Weekend 2026.
I feel incredibly privileged to spend a weekend here with my student teachers. There is something very special about this place, peace seems engrained in the walls, and the nuns move through their days with such grace and dignity.
You cannot help but leave changed… a little calmer, a little more centred, and a whole lot more immersed in yoga. 🙏
And what a weekend for our student teachers. They delivered their breathing and relaxation assignments with such professionalism and authenticity. Watching them step forward, find their own voices and grow in confidence as teachers was a real highlight for me. I felt incredibly proud of them.
We lived and breathed yoga together, journeying through asana, pranayama, meditation, chanting, an opening ceremony, an inspiring film on gratitude, and an early morning silent walking meditation as the sun rose. 🌅
Add to that nourishing homemade food, fresh air, shared conversations and time simply to be.
These weekends are such an important part of teacher training. Yoga is so much more than what happens on the mat. Spending time immersed in a yogic way of life gives us the opportunity to experience how these practices can quietly influence the way we live and our sense of wellbeing.
My hope is that we each take a dollop of this peace home with us and share a little of it with everyone around us. 🤍
And perhaps that is the real beauty of teaching yoga is what we learn and experience doesn’t end with us. It ripples outwards.
For those ready for the next chapter, my BWY Progression to Diploma starts 1st October.
And for anyone wanting to take their first steps into yoga or simply take a deeper dive for themselves my BWY Foundation in Yoga Course starts 19th September, with just two places remaining.
What a weekend. What a group. And what a privilege to be part of their journey. 🧘♀️✨
