Dorset's first and only roller derby league for women, trans and non-binary people, rolling since 2011. Where and When?

DRG are a diverse group of people who embody the grassroots DIY culture that is at the heart of roller derby. We have competed in various tournaments including the Heartlands Series, British Champs, and the South West Tournament and worked our way up to the top 100 in the European rankings. We also have vacancies for people who do not want to play but want to be part of the league as non-skating o

fficials and refs. League training (for skaters signed of as safe) takes place at Sir David English Leisure Centre

DRG is a skater-run non-profit organisation, all money raised through member’s subs and fundraising goes back into the league to pay for operating expenses. We rely on the hard work and dedication of our team members and hope that future sponsors will provide DRG with the financial support needed to help the league expand and progress. DRG are always looking for new and exciting places to train on a weekly basis. This can be anything from a warehouse to a sports hall as long as the floor has a good surface for skates. Roller derby wheels don't damage floors - fact.

Catashtrophe is the kind of teammate who’ll happily step up in any role, always ready to support the team and make sure everyone around her is getting the best out of themselves. She’s brilliant with our newbies, a fantastic mentor and coach (even if she doesn’t always believe it herself!), and one of the most dependable people you could ask for.

And honestly? The progress she’s made over the last two years has been HUGE. Watching her confidence, skills and derby brain grow has been bloody brilliant. 🥹

Today we’re celebrating one of the absolute cornerstones of DRG — our fabulous Finance Director! ❤️🖤💛

Without a doubt, Glittery Menace is the backbone that keeps this team standing. The foundation we grow and develop from, and our very own port in a storm when things inevitably get a little… derby. 😂

She’s kind, funny, quick-witted, endlessly accepting and always there when we need a calm head, a helping hand or a bloody good laugh.

And obviously we have to mention that luxurious bisexual-flag-themed Mohawk. 💗💜💙 Top tier. No notes. 🌈🔥

Add in her entirely appropriate love of dinosaurs 🦖 and we really couldn’t have asked for a more perfectly DRG human.

🎂 HAPPY BIRTHDAY GORY KILLMORE! 🎂

Today we’re celebrating our brilliant Communications Director, Gory Killmore, a title that barely covers everything she does for DRG!

From coaching and welcoming new skaters, to supporting our existing ones and making sure everyone feels part of DRG, Gory puts an incredible amount of time, energy and heart into this team. ❤️💛🖤

She's also behind so much of our social media, helping DRG reach new people far and wide.

And somehow, amongst all of that, she still finds time to play roller derby and be a bloody fantastic blocker while she’s at it!

DRG genuinely wouldn’t be the team it is without everything Gory brings, both on and off track. We’re incredibly lucky to have her.

Shout out to Killer Rocking Bird!!

WHAT AN ACHIEVEMENT! 26 MILES. ONE PAIR OF SKATES. ONE INCREDIBLE CAUSE.

We’re so incredibly proud of Rock, who took on the challenge of skating 26 miles in one go to raise money for Forest Holme Hospice Charity, in memory of Nick.

And she absolutely smashed it!

Chuffed is an understatement when she discovered that she had hit her fundraising target!

Every single pound raised will help support the amazing work of Forest Holme Hospice, and this challenge was her way of giving something back after the support they provided.

26 miles is no small feat but she dug deep, kept rolling and made it happen. Finishing at 27.32 miles!!!

Today, we took part in the parade for Christchurch Carnival - and it was so much fun!🎪

DRG hit the streets to bring a little roller derby chaos, a lot of noise, and plenty of dinosaur-powered energy to the parade. 🦖❤️
