My yoga teaching journey has now past 10 years 🙌🏻 and having celebrated this with many of you at the end of last year, I thought it would be a great idea 😉 to recognise those that have been on their yoga journey with me for 10 years at my community classes, so….

⭐️ well done to Jo, Marion and Suzy ⭐️

You are officially yoga superstars 👏🏻 and ‘may light continue to shine on their yoga practice’.

In recognition, they were awarded a complementary yoga course and this beautiful ⭐️ yoga superstar memento - enjoy!

Ps: Marion is on hols 🤫, so we might need to keep it a secret 😉😜 till next class 🤞🏻

**UPDATE** We’ve done it!!! 🙌🏻✨

I am beyond proud of everyone who came and enjoyed our 8th Annual Beach 🏖️ Yoga 🧘🏻 celebration 🎉 last Friday - to those who donated and to those who couldn’t make it and still donated!!! 💙

As an community we have reached our target - a huge £450, which is going to Alzheimer’s UK 💙

Many of you will know that my lovely Mum (Irene), had Alzheimer’s and I watched her fade away over many years. In early January 2026, she left this world in a gentle and quiet way forever 🤍 …. And I’m forever grateful to have had her in my life, a strong stoic Nurse and Mum.

However, many of us know someone or have lost someone to Alzheimer’s 💙 and know the unstoppable impact this has on the person’s loved ones, their family and friends. We have chatted a lot about this too 🥰

These funds will go to Alzheimer’s Society and towards a world 🌍 where dementia no longer devastates lives. Giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

YOU are all amazing 🧘🏼🧘🏻✨🙏🏻 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻

What a fabulous morning and a fantastic group of yogis. You were all brilliant and we have nearly raised £400 for Alzheimer’s Uk 🙌🏻 so far!!

The beach was our class setting, quiet, and beautiful, our yoga was ☀️ fun 😎 with simply the best views stretching out to the horizon, and hues of blue from the sea 🌊 to the sky 🩵!

This was my 8th year hosting our beach 🏖️ celebration 🧘🏼class, followed with a refreshing sea dip and coffee / baked banana cake/ croissants/ shortbread. Special thanks to our bakers 🙏🏻

It’s about coming together as an Iyengar Yoga community to practise, catching up and enjoying where we live.

I’ve been trying to share this post since reading the post in the last day or so. It’s a post about how inversions can be practised differently depending on you, it isn’t one size fits all and how yoga adapts with you.

Thank you to everyone who joined our half-day retreat yesterday.

It’s been a super hot week ☀️ and on a balmy beautiful afternoon our practice took a gentle approach with plenty of supine and restorative asanas - even mini savasanas featured too! 😉

It was a lovely opportunity to meet new practitioners and welcome familiar ones too. I even learnt today that I’ve now taught 3 generations of one family 💛 💛💛

I hope you enjoyed the afternoon as much as I enjoyed teaching you 🙏🏻
