Quarter Finals Secured at First Attempt! 💪⚽
A huge achievement for PSE Rebels as they reach the quarter finals at the first attempt — but not without being tested by a spirited comeback from Weymouth.
The Rebels were outstanding in the first half, playing some brilliant football. The quality, movement and determination were excellent, and the goals were exactly what Sean has been asking for over a long period of time — sharp passing, positive attacking play and real intent in front of goal.
It was everything he’s been demanding from the team… and more.
⚽ Goals:
Vinny x2
Judah x2
Jenson
Every player played their part in a dominant opening period, showing confidence, quality and real togetherness.
The second half brought a different challenge. On a heavy pitch, legs began to tire and Weymouth mounted a strong comeback. It became a real battle, but the boys showed resilience, determination and composure to manage the game and see it out.
🌟 Man of the Match – Asher
Asher was outstanding from start to finish. He made a series of superb saves at crucial moments, commanded his area brilliantly by confidently claiming corners, and came off his line amazingly well to s***f out danger before it developed.
His presence and composure gave the whole team confidence during the second-half pressure. A fully deserved Man of the Match — voted not only by Sean, but also by the parents 👏🧤
On another day, we might have lost that game — but the team stuck to the task brilliantly, showed real character, and saw it out.
A tremendous team performance. First-half football to be proud of, second-half resilience to admire — quarter finals, here we come! 🔵⚽
