Keeping things simple this year:£40 board hire, all kit included.

No lessons, no big groups — just straightforward SUP hire if you fancy getting out on the water.

I’m running a small number of relaxed paddleboard sessions this year — perfect if you just want to get on the water without the chaos.

Their volunteers are just incredible, but still please be careful.

If you’re planning to go kayaking or paddleboarding, please remember these key safety tips:

- Always wear a buoyancy aid
- Tell someone where you’re going
- Carry a mobile phone
- Check the weather - avoid offshore winds and be aware of tidal currents
- Know your limits
- Remember to Float to Live if you get into difficulty in the water
