LIKE A PHOENIX, the eagles may fall but through the ashes rises a new era of our football.

Elsea park eagles will be changing to Langtoft United!!!! With a 1st team in Div 2 and a brand new reserves in Div 4!!!!

Unfortunately it was not the eagles day, we lose our spot to the play off final against Tydd.

It was just one of those days for us unfortunately, the lads are very dissapointed not to have made it that far, but we also appreciate how far we have come, from slow beginnings to battling for the play off’s the team has grown together as one.

Credit to our opposition today Tydd showed much grace and decorum in their victory with away changing rooms left tidy and a pint in the glorious sunshine shared between the teams, we wish both them and kings cliffe all the best in the final.

Whilst heads may be low for now, we are very excited for next season!!!!

PLAY OFFS SECURED!!!!!!

Elsea park eagles are in the play off’s for
Div 1 after a tough, gritty, well battled win!

What a season it’s been, nobody would have thought it at the start yet we turned it around and we can see promotion on the horizon!

There’s not too much to say other than every. Single. Player. Played their heart and soul out yesterday giving 110% we are all immensely proud of the team!

EAGLES BREEZE PAST THORNEY.

A rampant win this Saturday with our second to last game of the season!

Whilst the first half was less than convincing with the half time score 3-2 one loose pass and an own goal, which we will blame the 80000MPH wind. The second half see us really switch things on! With Jay scoring 4 goals….still no MOTM though, perhaps down to the 45 missed chances. An unlikely scorer in Penny see his name on the scoresheet TWICE! It seemed that everyone could’ve scored a goal and if the game went on for longer we could have.

MOTM: awarded to Kyle for his persistent energy and control in the middle.

DOTD: Reece. Maybe for the own goal, maybe for sprinting the length of the pitch with the ball in his hands to take the pen….

We also had our final visit at Masons Arms -Bourne who have looked after us all season.

The end of season is tantalisingly close! And we need good results, yesterday we did just that!

A very solid performance from the lads see us walk away with all 3 points, our engine room in midfield was nothing short of pure class yesterday. Kyle and Josh giving everything they’ve got all game, our strikers struggled to find the back of the net first half so not 1 but 2 centre backs had to come up and show them how it’s done! With our very own captain fantastic Luke scoring a beautiful looping header.

The 2nd half finally see Jay get his name
On the score sheet only for his older brother to come on as a super sub and score an arguable better goal……

Very solid and dominating performance from the whole team and the return of our very own Saturday league version of zidanne, WOODY IS BACK 🥵

EAGLES GET THEIR REVENGE!

After we previously threw away a 3-0 advantage at home, the eagles had an almighty point to prove away at kings Cliffe this weekend.

After a somewhat lacklustre first half with the same familiar faces on the score sheet, Reegan and lash scoring again but the score tied at 2-2.

It was the 2nd half where we turned things around with standout performances from the subs bench. Future superstar Elliott came on and you would’ve thought he was a seasoned pro in adults football with not 1 but 2 assists on his debut! Earning a standing ovation from the team after the game. Wonder goals from Ryan mills and MOTM Louis see us seal a very convincing victory!

GOALS GOALS GOALS.

The upcoming eagles vets team played a friendly last night under the lights vs park farm vets.

In the early stages of the game, with a whole
New group of players it was difficult to connect as a team leaving park farm to score 4 goals quite quickly, however, we weren’t going down that easy for our first game. We turned it around and scored 4 goals ourselves! Our 2 strikers putting away some tidy finishes.

The final result was an astonishing 8-7 win! With all the lads pulling together to nick a result, not bad for the management teams first game in charge.

Things are coming together nicely for our vets team and we still have a few spaces left, if you are interested in joining drop us a message or comment below
