Great Sailing - the club is on a wide and long reach of the Upper Thames, which offers interesting racing conditions in all weathers. Class racing is provided for Wayfarers, Merlin Rockets, OKs, RS Fevas and Toppers, and the classic Thames 'A' Raters. The club is open on Sundays for most of the year as well as on Wednesday evenings and Saturday afternoons throu

ghout the summer and visitors are welcome to call in. Training - Upper Thames Sailing Club is an excellent safe place for people of all ages to learn to sail with RYA qualified instructors. We offer a wide range of courses and have club boats available to train in. All are welcome to try new classes of boat, learn to race or just brush up on your skills. You can also practice during informal sailing sessions during Saturday and Sunday Fun Sailing sessions, and on Wednesday mornings as part of Wednesday on Water

Upper Thames Sailing Club Summer Courses now taking bookings!

Looking for the ideal summer holiday activity for your kids? Or are you looking to learn a new skill? Look no further than your local sailing club who would love to welcome sailors young and old to learn the ropes and have fun doing it!

This year we have not one but TWO courses running over 4 days each this August, a perfect amount of time to practise and hone skills in order to achieve an RYA Youth or Adult qualification.

Course 1: 4th-7th August (Youth Stages 1-4 & Adult Levels 1, 2, 3)

Course 2: 24th-27th August (Youth Stage 1&2 and 3 only)

Minimum age 8 years.
