Our U8 Blues enjoyed a great tournament at Terrington on Sunday. With the standard of competition really high, the team put in some great displays and fully deserved some positive results, battling hard, showing great team spirit and scoring some important last minute goals. With two new players joining the side it was pleasing to see how quickly they gelled together, both on and off the pitch.

What a fantastic day of football for U8 Ambers at the excellent Spalding United Tournament this weekend! The team were brilliant throughout the group stages, playing some really positive football and continuing to show the values that we work hard on every week. They consistently looked to pass the ball, move as a team, and support one another all over the pitch. Their teamwork, effort, and determination saw them finish third in their group and earn a place in the Tulip Shield competition.

The quarter-final against Spalding Blues was a fantastic game, with the Ambers producing one of their best performances of the day. Every player worked tirelessly for the team, showing great energy and commitment to progress to the semi-finals.

The semi-final proved to be another thrilling encounter, this time against Yaxley. With neither team able to find a winner, the match went all the way to penalties. The players held their nerve brilliantly under pressure and deservedly came out on top to secure their place in the Tulip Shield Final.

In the final, the Ambers gave absolutely everything playing against a good Hampton Rangers team. They battled from start to finish, played with tremendous spirit, and never stopped working for one another. Despite a superb effort, they just came up short and finished as Spalding United Tulip Shield Runners-Up.

Every single player should be incredibly proud of themselves. They were outstanding all day, not only for the quality of football they played but also for the fantastic teamwork, determination, and attitude they showed throughout the tournament. Above all, they represented Boston United with excellent sportsmanship and respect, making everyone associated with the team proud. A huge well done to all of the players and thank you to Spalding United for hosting such a well-organised and enjoyable tournament. A brilliant day and a fantastic achievement for our young Ambers! 🧡🖤⚽️

The now U11 Blacks enjoyed a bit of off season fun over the weekend as they went to Slick City in Nottingham.

A good time was had by all and it was nice to get the whole team together (including siblings) outside of the football environment. This is a great group and they’ll be looking to enjoy more activities in the future, and they can't wait to get back playing football together in the new season.

Our U9 Blacks entered the Poachers Cup at Boston Town at the weekend. In a league format with some very good teams, this was going to be a real test for the team.

The Pilgrims put in some fantastic performances and went through the league unbeaten, conceding no goals and scoring some great goals.

This set-up a semi-final against Stamford Yellows where the team fell just short and lost to the eventual winners.

The team can be proud of their efforts and go into next season full of confidence👏🧡🖤 Thank you to Boston Town for hosting the tournament.

🏆 U16 GIRLS LWGFL CHAMPIONS 🏆
Our U16 Girls concluded their Lincolnshire Women & Girls Football League season with a draw against Grimsby Borough. This means the girls have been crowned LWGFL Premier Champions, adding to the League cup win earlier in the season!

The U16 Girls travelled away to Grimsby Borough in the LWGFL for a season finale, with girls needing a point or better to secure the title.

It was difficult for both teams in the early stages due to the warmer weather, however Boston took the lead with a well timed pass and tap in for Jas (taking her to 50 goals this season).

Grimsby came back strong with some good set pieces to create chances to take the lead. With the last few minutes of the half left, the Pilgrims won a free kick at the edge of the box. Ash took a superb free kick driving the ball into the top corner meaning all square at half time.

The second half was similar to the first with both teams managing their effort. The Pilgrims took the lead with Lily scoring direct from a corner with a curling effort. Grimsby did not give up and the last 20 minutes was very much end to end.

Some good stops from GK Evie kept Grimsby out but with three minutes to go, Grimsby found an equaliser to create a very tense finish to the game. The final whistle came with the points shared meaning the U16 girls are LWGFL Premier Champions to add to the League cup win earlier in the season.

Our U8 Ambers travelled to Holbeach this weekend for their first tournament of the season, competing in very hot and sunny conditions.

The team made a fantastic start to the day, producing some excellent football in their opening matches. They moved the ball well, worked hard for one another, and showed great teamwork throughout. Their positive attitude and determination were evident from the first whistle, and they deserved plenty of credit for the way they approached every game.

The Ambers faced several strong and talented teams during the tournament and competed brilliantly throughout. Despite putting in some impressive performances, they were unfortunate to narrowly miss out on a place in the semi-finals.

While the results did not quite go their way, the day was a huge success. The players represented Boston United superbly, demonstrating outstanding respect, sportsmanship, and behaviour both on and off the pitch.

Their attitude throughout the tournament was a credit to themselves and the club. Most importantly, the team thoroughly enjoyed the experience and created some fantastic memories at their first tournament of the season.

A huge well done to all the players for their effort, commitment, and teamwork, and thank you to the parents and supporters for their fantastic encouragement throughout the day 🧡🖤

A big thank you to Callum and everyone at Holbeach United for organizing a very enjoyable and well-run tournament!

BUFC U14 Ambers 3-2 Hampton Rangers

Massive credit to our U14 Ambers - playing in the conditions at the weekend was never going to be easy - but the attitude, effort and commitment from all the players was excellent from start to finish.

A brilliant way to end what has been an unbelievable season, with plenty of smiles and a lot of fun along the way. There’s not too much to say about the game itself, but overall the team should be really proud of the performance and the progress made throughout the year.
