Our syllabus is designed to constantly build on what comes before. In an earlier video we saw our beginners demonstrating foundation level techniques. Now we have our higher level kids applying joint locks and using handstrikes and kicks to take down opponents from a grab! 😃

Cho Geup Hyung, this is the second form we learn. Taught at Yellow Belt level this form teaches how to transition between stances in a linear motion. Again teaching handstrikes, kicks and blocks to the front of the body. We have the breaking boards out again to show that forms are not just a "dance", these are motions and strikes that could absolutely be used to defend yourself 😃

Dahn B**g - Short Stick. This is a very versatile weapon, it can be used like a club to defend yourself using the weight of the weapon. It can be used for precision striking to sensitive parts of the body. It can be used to choke or reinforce joint locks. The ends can be used to jab and strike. It can also be used to strike or press into pressure points on the body. Practicing with a weapon this versatile is a great advantage for self defence as the techniques can be quickly adapted, turning any object you can hold in one hand into a tool for self defence 😲
