We have a fantastic 70ftx50ft wooden sprung Maple skate floor, the best floor for roller skating. A fantastic roller disco for all ages with a great light show. Brilliant value for money at only £6.50 per person and £2.00 for our skate hire, or both sessions for £12 entry £2.00 skate hire. Extra sessions run throughout the year including Halloween, Christmas and school holidays. Please note: we have no onsite car parking but there is plenty of alternative car parking in the area approximately 2 mins walk away. Our history. Will Fletcher has been running Boston’s only roller disco for over 10 years, we started off at the Peter Paine sports Centre where we operated for many happy years until the centre was taken over by Boston College and we had to move out and close down. Luckily we managed to come up with an arrangement with Andrew and Stephen Malkinson owners of the Gliderdrome, Boston’s original skating rink going back to the mid-thirties when the Gliderdrome was an open air roller rink. Skating was run at the Gliderdrome for many years. Just after the outbreak of the Second World War the building was roofed over as a security measure. And it wasn't long before time was made available at the end of skating sessions for dancing. Dancing eventually took over from skating with the Gliderdrome hosting top bands and weekly bingo sessions. Wills roller disco moved into the Gliderdrome in 2019 and began to host a roller disco every Friday night bringing Skating back to where it belongs. We are proud to be part of Boston’s original and only roller rink, The Gliderdrome.
