Finishing the week with something incredibly rare: one of just 10 Gen3 Mugen 270hp Special Edition Atoms.

Built to celebrate Ariel's 10th anniversary, only 10 official Mugen Edition cars were produced, plus the factory demonstrator. That makes these some of the rarest Atoms ever built and puts their owners firmly into a very exclusive club.

We're lucky enough to have this one at CM HQ for routine maintenance and alignment work. Taking delivery of such an immaculate example is always a pleasure, and a true reflection of its owner's enthusiasm to keep it in such great condition. It genuinely still looks like the day it was built.

If you're looking to find out more about these exclusive Mugen models, be sure to set aside a few hours, you're about to go down an internet rabbit hole.

With all work completed, this stunning example is heading back to its owner in our enclosed transport facility.

A proper piece of exclusive Ariel history and we thank the owner for entrusting us with this car.

A Gen3 Atom in with us this week following a trackside meeting with the customer, where we discussed moving the car towards a more circuit-focused setup.

Before making any changes, tyre temperature data was taken from the car throughout the sessions to understand what the tyres were doing across the contact patch. This gave us a much better basis for advising on the required camber changes rather than simply applying a generic track alignment.

With the car now back at the workshop we've gone through the chassis properly, replacing any worn hardware and upgrading the areas we know benefit from additional control and consistency.

The car has received our steering rack mounting hardware, motorsport ride height shim kit and a full roller needle conversion to the steering column assembly.

With the mechanical side of the setup addressed, we've then applied the revised ride height and alignment settings based around the data collected from the car and its intended circuit use.

For us, it's about getting the hardware, geometry and data working together and not just changing alignment numbers and sending the car back out.

If you have an Ariel that you're looking to develop further for circuit use, please contact us to discuss your requirements and see how we can help.

Finishing up the week with this high spec sequential 4R in with us for its first 500-mile service.

Fully loaded with carbon fibre upgrades, including carbon wheels, brakes, seats and full option bodywork, this is a seriously well-specced car.

The customer also opted to add a self-cancelling indicator kit. A great addition to any Atom and proving incredibly popular with customers, whether it's primarily used on the road or circuit.

With service work now completed, this 4R heads back to the customer in our enclosed transport services.

Barry's Atom 4R was across with us this week for some diagnostic work on the paddle-shift control system.

With the fault quickly identified and the necessary replacement components installed to restore correct operation, we could move on to the more exciting stuff.

With further updates already scheduled later this month, we brought some of that work forward while the car was on site. Given the car's track-focused use and long-term development plans, the decision was made to fit our CM Pro5000R race brake kit.

Designed for serious circuit use, it delivers increased braking performance and repeatability lap after lap, while retaining compatibility with the existing carbon wheel package.

It also provides the perfect foundation for the future integration of our Bosch Motorsport ABS system. Our race-spec, track-friendly exhaust system has also been fitted, further developing the car's track capability while maintaining a practical solution for regular circuit use.

With the braking and exhaust work completed, we then turned our attention towards the chassis.

A full alignment session has now been completed to our optimised circuit settings, while additional engine hardware has been installed ready for the next increase in power output during the car's next development phase.

There’s plenty more to come from this 4R!

A stunning electric blue Gen4 manual-spec car recently in with us for its 18,000-mile/4-year major service.

The customer decided to take advantage of having the car with us and use the opportunity to carry out a few additional upgrades while it was already in the workshop.

First up was the installation of a lightweight flywheel. This is a comprehensive job on the Gen4 chassis, requiring removal of the engine to gain access to the part, but with the service and checks required at a major service there is a significant overlap in labour. This made it a much more cost-effective time to complete the work rather than having to revisit the job at a later date.

With some European track days planned and the original driveshafts having already completed several seasons of track use, the decision was made to fit a set of our race spec units. This gives the customer a fresh, strong setup ready for the increased demands of next seasons use.

Alongside the major service and updates, the car has been thoroughly checked over and prepared for the customer's upcoming plans. It's always a great opportunity to look at the car as a whole and identify any work that can sensibly be combined while it is already with us.

With everything now completed, the car has been fully prepared cleaned and delivered back to the customer in our enclosed transport facilities, ready for its next chapter.

Atom 4 manual-spec car in with us as we prepare it for its new owner.

Prior to taking delivery, the customer requested a full inspection of the vehicle, giving us the opportunity to go through the car properly and identify anything that needed attention.

We then carried out a full 4 year/18,000-mile major service, which brought the car fully up to date. In addition to this we added some of our tried and tested track-spec updates to the braking and oiling systems.

With the car already having several of our hardware components fitted by its previous owner, it’s the perfect platform for the customers track focused plans.

With all work completed and a fresh MOT, the car has been handed over to its new owner to enjoy and make the most of the remaining summer months.

We had the pleasure of welcoming Tom's new Atom 4R into the workshop last month. With just 800 miles on the clock, it was the perfect foundation to build upon. With a comprehensive list of upgrades planned, the team got straight to work.

• CM 425R Power Upgrade
• CM Gearbox & Engine Oil Cooler Kits
• CM Full Race Exhaust System
• CM GCU Software Calibration
• CM Race spec Driveshafts
• CM Torque-Based Traction Control Software
• CM Pro5000R Race Brake Kit
• CM Bosch Motorsport ABS Software Update
• CM Track Specification Geometry Setup

With the work now complete, the car leaves us producing a healthy 425hp and 550Nm, making it an exceptionally well-equipped track-focused Atom that's more than capable of taking the fight to much more exotic machinery.

A huge thank you to our talented team for another build completed to the standard we pride ourselves on. We're looking forward to seeing what Tom thinks once he's had the chance to put some proper miles on it.

I have a feeling this won't be the last time we see the car back in the workshop!

Please contact us to see how we can help you with your Ariel requirements.

Earlier this month, we headed to Anglesey to attend the first Anglesey event with RMA Trackdays to help make sure customers cars were on top form and to carry out service and repair work. Ariel Motor Company had their 4RR in attendance and our own Luke Schlewitz took to the track throughout the 2 day event to experience it first hand. All in all a great few days meeting friends old and new.
