A great day of Bowls despite the rain at Forbes Road Bowls Club Finals Day. A good turn out of spectators enjoyed some fine bowling and closely fought matches.
Club Singles Champion retaining his title is David Toynton who beat Helen Butler 14 - 13.
In the Drawn Pairs Semifinals Peter Sharman and Di Cuppleditch lost 22 - 14 to David Toynton and Richard Allam with Karl Pick and Steve Slater beating Mandy Cook and Colin Heppenstall 19 - 12 in the other. The Final played in pouring rain was a nail bighting match with Karl and Steve winning 15 - 14.

Round 5 of Forbes rd Drawn pairs completed. Winner on the day S. Boycott won the £15.00 Prize money scoring 59pts out of 72pts. This also made him the biggest mover in the League. D. Toynton still holds top spot but the pack are closing in.
The next 3 Wednesday will finish the league off. Still all comers welcome, £15.00 each day must be won. £2.00 entry on the day
