From sunshine to showers, it felt like we experienced every season while exploring the full journey from warm‑up to competition.

Fiona Harrison BHSI delivered an interactive and thought‑provoking study group, sparking brilliant discussions around all three phases of eventing.

A great day of learning, sharing, and inspiration, with some truly great coaches.😀

Busy day today. Started with the easter fun day for under 10's. Handy pony, games and easter egg hunt was great fun and the cake went down a hit! Kids were all fab. Followed by my ladies group jump session and then off to another yard to teach 2 privates. Another busy day ahead tomorrow. It'll seem very quiet when the kids are back at school!

Fab morning training the pony club kids about loading. So many great discussions with them about why we do things a certain way, safety for horses and handlers, differences between trailers and lorries as well as correct horse clothing when travelling. The sun shone and you've all gained your loading achievement badges. Well done everyone x

Half Term Kids Activities @ Thorndikes Livery, Minskip

Mon 30th March
Training day for ages 10 and above to include polework and jumping exercises plus a dismounted stable management session.
10am-12pm non jumpers and those jumping up to 60cm.
12.30-2.30pm jumping 70cm upwards.

Wed 8th April
Easter fun day to include games and an easter egg hunt. Ages 10 and under.

Training sessions for ages 10 to include a ridden session of fun polework and jumping exercises (relevant to the level of rider), plus a dismounted stable management session.

10am-12pm for non-jumpers and those jumping up to 60cm.

12.30-2.30pm for those jumping 70cm upwards.

Easter Fun Day 🐎

A morning of fun and games for riders 10 years and under. On or off the lead rein, everyone is welcome. The morning will include games and fun in the arena followed by cake 🎂and hot chocolate, then an easter egg hunt ride through the fields. All riders will require someone to assist them even if not on the lead rein for this part. If you have extra kids with you who would like to join this on foot then please book them in as an extra for the easter egg hunt.

10am start (please be mounted and ready to start at 10am). Finish about 12.30pm.

Very pleased to announce that all further tests have come back negative so the yard is now out of quarantine. Most importantly none of the horses were ever showing any symptoms. They are now enjoying some field time and returning to ridden work.

Huge thanks to my parents, staff and liveries who have all worked so hard to keep all biosecurity measures in place meaning we have got the all clear in the fastest possible time. You've all been amazing!

We are now back open for arena hire, training, clinics and we have some livery spaces available too. Get in touch if there's anything we can assist you with.

Also a massive thankyou to all my amazing clients who have supported me through this tough time. It is hugely appreciated and won't be forgotten.

Here's to a brighter rest of 2026 🍾
