Massive Congratulations to our own Kai Laing and Scotland Boys on winning the home internationals for the first time since 2015. The boys won their first two matches and took the trophy with a magnificent victory over England today in a winner takes all match absolutely fantastic. After all the excitement of the weekend for our Juniors we have some more fabulous news to share.

Hannah Darling who many of you will know has turned Professional and will make her Pro debut in the ISPS HANDA Women's Scottish Open at Dundonald on Thursday.

From a young girl picking up a club at Broomieknowe around 13 years ago to the professional ranks has been quite a journey and Hannah has had a glittering amateur career full of success.

Couldn’t be prouder of the person and golfer Hannah is and she has inspired many of our Juniors to take up the game and try to be the very best they can be.

Broomie Juniors would like to wish Hannah all the very best for her Professional career. Can’t wait to see what the next chapter brings.

Hannah will join the talent at Modest Golf who manage many top golfers including Tyrrell Hatton and Leona Maguire. Modest Golf was co-founded by Niall Horan of One Direction how exciting is that 😀

After a fantastic run to the final Kai was eventually beaten by Finlay Galloway of St Andrews 3&2. Fabulous golf from both but Finlay got up early on in the match and never let it go. Congratulations to Finlay a worthy winner and a massive well done to Kai who has been putting in the hard work and it’s paid off. We are all very proud of you Kai and you should be proud of yourself too - what a brilliant season you’ve had. An inspiration to all our Juniors.

There’s not much rest for Kai though as he’ll be on a plane this week to the USA to represent Scotland vs Georgia in the Kiltie Cup. The match is at East Lake Georgia home of the FedEx Cup and Tour Championship what an amazing experience that will be. Enjoy it Kai you deserve it.
