Dear Members,
Update
Practice Nets:
We have been notified that the practice nets will be completed over the period Wednesday 26th to Friday 28th August. We appreciate there are various competitions on then including Ladies event and Sponsors day, however this should have no impact on the golf events planned.
Trees:
Next week will also see us install new tree hedging along the rear boundaries of the
houses directly behind the practice area and chipping green, as per the planning
requirements. These will be planted sufficiently far enough away from the fences to allow for maintenance access and ensure they do not encroach our neighbours whilst at the same provide a visual and acoustic screening for the householders to the course and vice versa. There will also be some pre planting areas created around the nets at the same time. All trees/hedging are aimed to be no more than around 6-7 feet in height once established having no restriction in light to any area.
Path:
The main path to the first tee and around to the rear of the 18th will also be tackled the week after. This will be cleaned and sealed by contractors and will therefore be out of action for one or two days, traffic measures will be in place for this.
All of the above works are subject to weather conditions obviously and may change.
We ask all members to be mindful of these works and not to use the practice facilities beyond the 1st tee when the works are ongoing. This not only assists the teams in their completion of the tasks, it’s a health and safety requirement.
Thanks for your cooperation in this matter.
