After a heavy defeat from a very good Syngenta team during the week (no match report as your intrepid reporter was unavailable) we made the trip to Little Kerse this morning to take on Camelon.

We've enjoyed having a few new faces at training over the past couple of weeks and it was a new face who got their name on the scoresheet first, Nicky with a well executed free kick. We kept Camelon quiet at the other end and went into half-time 1-0 up.

Camelon applied more pressure in the 2nd half, searching for a way back into the game. We had some really good moments of playing good football under pressure but Camelon took their chances to get themselves up 2-1. We very nearly grabbed a point with the last kick, but the main takeaway was an encouraging performance that included a lot of fight, determination and a willingness to play passing football under pressure. Proud of the boys effort today ⚽️💙🤍🖤

We were back in competitive action today, with a trip to W3ST to take on Strathaven Dynamo 2013 in the League Cup section, who cruised to an impressive B League title last season.

We're probably a game or two lighter on pre-season minutes than other teams, but the boys are showing signs of finding their feet again.

First half was competitive but we found ourselves going in 3-0 down after struggling to clear our lines at times.

Second half, we played better and showed some hints of what we can be capable of. We got a goal back when Max's penalty was saved, but Arran finished well from the rebound.

Well done to the Dynamo and we look forward to hosting you in the league sometime soon ⚽️
