Scottish Youth Fly Fishing Team

The Scottish Youth Team had an outing to Loch Earn on Sunday 7th June for preparationfor Ireland in July.

The day started off with light rain and moderate winds which got up mid morning but dropped away late afternoon. The rain was heavy at times but this didn't stop the team catching fish.

Various methods worked throughout the day with most on sinking lines with wets to some fish also being landed on dries.

A total of 240 fish was landed by the team and mainy dropped and lost including a rainbow estimated 16lb.

The team would like to thank Stu at Loch Earn for hosting the team and we look forward to our next outing at the end of the month.

The Scottish Youth Team would like thank Frandy Fishery & Gleneagles Hotel for hosting our recent training day. The team caught consistently throughout the day catching some nice fish.

Massive thanks today to Ken Mckillop and Pass It On Young Sports page for having the Scottish Youth Team members and coaches attending today's event at Hoddom Castle Lockerbie.

It was great to see so many young kids attend the event, participating in all the activities today.

The Youth Team would like to especially thank Ken & Pass it On Young Sports for their very kind donation today.
