A special award for a very special player who has been with us from the start 🖤❤️

A player who time and time again puts the needs of the team first. A player who consistently encourages team mates positively. A player who never moans or complains. A player who in 5 years no coach has had to pull to one side and have a word about his behaviour, work rate or general attitude. A player who is never late and helps to tidy after training without being asked. A player who attends games he isn't playing in to support the squad.

A player who embodies everything this team stands for and so much more.

The coaches voted unanimously for Jay D and that in itself speaks volumes - we have no more superlatives to explain how highly he is regarded by supporters, coaches and his fellow players.

Coachability, work rate, effort, attitude, reliability, attendance, leadership and supporting team mates are only some of the attributes both Aaron and Liam display on a consistent basis.

As coaches we feel both of these boys were vital to their teams balance and culture and they displayed that every single week both in training and competitive games... and although their tremendous efforts may not have shown up on the score sheet, they definitely stood out to us and both are very deserving of their awards!

🇺🇸 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗴 𝗢𝗻 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗿 🇺🇸🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Aidan swapped terrorising defences last Saturday for a trip of a lifetime to Boston to watch Scotland's opening game victory against Haiti in the World Cup 🔥⚽

What a photo of him resplendent in his Bonnybridge top inside the Boston Stadium!! Word has it the Scotland National Team manager Steve Clark tried to sign him but thankfully his dad managed to bundle him back on the plane so he could make training on Wednesday 👀

What an experience young man and we can't wait to hear all about it 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🇺🇸

𝗦𝘄𝗶𝗳𝘁𝘀 𝘃 𝗖𝘂𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝘁𝘀
𝗖𝗦𝗙𝗔 𝗪𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗗𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝟭𝟱

These swifts lads have gave the coaches, teams mates and parents all the emotions this block. Across the 15 games there’s been simply amazing football on show, huge character, amazing solo displays and team work galore, saves, tackles, ‘sends’, assists, goals and passages of play that were at times simply ….. WOW!

They finished the block with a “loss” but won at “football”…

Couldn’t be prouder of the group of lads; with many really coming on leaps and bounds this last block.

Cannot wait till nines now, where already they’re shown they will continue to play the BYFC way.

𝗠𝗮𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵 - The opposition coach chose “ blonde lad, #80 on the wing - great touch and always had his head up, nice wee guy tae”

He defo showed a great touch and was keen to use the ball in as few touches as possible, showing a lovey first touch and wanting to shift the ball quickly and want it back - he worked hard down either wing and battled to gain control of the ball if it was lost.

𝗠𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵 - the Moment of the Match went to Aaron S.

With the game a bit scruffy, yet under control on the football front, Aaron settled the swifts down with a great first time strike across the keeper to take the lead, a great finish from an exquisite player, he made the right decision to strike the ball with such accuracy!

Well done Azzzza! 🔴🚀⚫️

A non stop weekend for the Young Brig saw them finish their 7 a side journey on Saturday morning, attend their end of season awards on Saturday night and play their first 9 a side festival on Sunday.

As always, took it all in their stride. Some team 🔥⚽

𝗗𝘆𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗼𝘀 𝘃 𝗚𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗯𝗼𝗶𝗴
𝗖𝗦𝗙𝗔 𝗚𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝗗𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝟭𝟱

The past 15 weeks have seen this group experience many highs and a few lows but most pleasingly they've grown into a really close knit team who fight for each other right to the end no matter the scoreline.

From the first game of the block away to West Park...the come backs from behind to win against Garnkirk and North Motherwell...the odd poor performance along the way...the spectacular goals, last ditch tackles, wonder saves...joy, elation, tears and frustration... win, lose or draw these lads have been magnificent 🔥

The game on Saturday was a collection of all the above things rolled into one 50 minute game. I don't think words can really sum up the game other than at times we looked brilliant, at times we looked like it was our first ever game...we scored some fantastic goals, conceded some howlers...went behind by 3, came back with 3 of our own...

As we close the curtains on 7 a side football, yesterday's game was a mere sideshow to what comes next for this group and we are extremely proud of their efforts and can't wait to see them take the next steps on their journey.

𝗚𝗼𝗮𝗹𝘀

It's all a blur 😂

𝗠𝗮𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵 - The opposition coach chose Euan as MOTM and commented "the wee man was brilliant bringing the ball out from the back" which is a comment we couldn't agree more with. Euan has the ability to let nothing faze him and relishes the chance to go 1v1 with the pressing attacker, remain calm and perform his signature shoulder drop to get us up the pitch. He's also finding the line splitting pass to a team mate more often and one in particular yesterday saw him beat the press before playing a fantastic diagonal pass across the the left winger.

𝗠𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵 - the Moment of the Match went to Rory who once again worked tirelessly all game despite not feeling 100%. The moment in particular saw him out on the right touchline boxed in by two players...he performed a skill move no one has named yet to leave them dazzled as he burst down the wing at speed...before firing a cross into the box to find Jacob who calmly stuck the ball in the net.
