🏌️♂️ Learn to hit HIGH & LOW chip shots! 🎯
For both of these demonstrations, I’m using a 58° wedge — but the setup and delivery are very different depending on the shot you want to hit.
⬇️ LOW CHIP SHOT
• Ball slightly back in your stance
• A little shaft lean at address
• Slightly more weight towards your lead foot
• Feel a more active release through impact, with the toe overtaking the heel
The result? 👌
Even with a very lofted 58° wedge, we can keep the flight down, get the ball rolling out and, most importantly, control the trajectory.
⬆️ HIGH CHIP SHOT
This setup is very different.
• Open the clubface
• Re-grip the club with the face open
• Open your stance
• Swing more along your foot line
This allows the clubface to stay more open through the shot, helping you launch the ball higher and land it softer. 🛬
The key is understanding that different trajectories require different setups and deliveries.
Master both and you’ll have far more options around the greens. ⛳️🔥
