Yesterday we took on a tough workington whites side who we always have a great game and battle against. They are always a well drilled team and every game against them is a cracker! ⚽️

This one was no different! Chances galore and great defending all over the pitch with brilliant tackling right left and centre!

Workington in the end took their chances far better than we did. We must have hit the bar and post 4/5 times!

But what a great game to watch, both teams giving it their all!!

Credit where it’s due, well done whites.

Man of the match went to Reuben for an outstanding performance for the second week in a row 💪🏻
Strong defending, great running with the ball, good passing, and all round good decision made when on the ball! Well done kid 👏🖤

Yesterday the lads took part in their first preseason tournament of the year at maryport athletic!

We were in a tough group with a good few teams banded above us but we were there to give it a real go, and we did!

We only lost two group games and made it all the way to the final against a tough workington greys team that are a top team and difficult to beat.

Unfortunately we came up short and just couldnt match them but the boys can be proud of themselves for getting to the final, as I’m very proud of them!

First game of preseason done for the 💛🖤

Thrown in against a tough Celtic Green side who love to battle hard, it was never going to be a straight forward game.

As always, solid tackling, end to end, great saves, goals galore, 19 goals shared between the two teams 🤯 and two teams that wanted to win.

We were missing a couple of players and our lads had to dig deep, but they did indeed do that in the end.

As usual, great game to watch, when is it not between us?! 😂

Man of the match went to Reuben. He was absolutely solid tonight and all over the pitch. Hard tackling, quick feet, spot on passing and a few decent shots at goal, all round brilliant performance!!

We go again Saturday against a tough Whitehaven team 💪🏽

Bugsy only joined us around 6 months ago so this will be his first full season with us and we’re looking forward to getting started ⚽️💪🏻

Bugsy has settled in really well with the team and we’re all ready to push on this season with him helping us 💪🏻

Felix had a mixed season last year with injuries and time off! But we’re ready to kick on this season and work hard.
