Had a brake service recently?

It’s been a day of bad brakes, from corroded cables to dodgy brake fluid as in the photo.

Left to right is clean DOT brake fluid, some used and very bad DOT fluid, old mineral oil brake fluid, and some nice clean fresh mineral oil fluid.
Over time, hydraulic brake oil degrades, and water and dirt seep into the systems, making the brakes less effective.

Also changed today were some worn brake pads, and a pair of rusty brake cables that were seized solid.

Eight years now as a Bosch ebike system specialist, and the products get better and better.
